How much is the hcg value? can be seen by ultrasound

I believe that for women in the early stages of pregnancy, they do not have sufficient knowledge about these aspects of pregnancy. Therefore, prenatal check-ups during pregnancy often make me frown. Especially for the examination methods during pregnancy, I don’t know what to choose. So, what are the methods for blood hCG testing?

The square root of blood hcg varies at different stages of pregnancy and among pregnant women. In other words, there are large differences between different individuals. Therefore, blood hcg can only be compared with oneself and is not comparable with others. Generally, the blood HCG of women who are not pregnant is less than 5IU/L. In the first 3 months of pregnancy, the HCG level approximately doubles every 2 days.

Below is a list of standard values for blood cell HCG levels during pregnancy. In the corresponding weeks, as long as the blood hCG concentration is within the standard value range, it is normal. It is particularly important to note that mIU is the same as mU (the I in the middle of MIU means standard unit), 1Iu/ml = 1u/ml = 1000mu/ml = 1000MIU/ml.

Pregnancy Week HCG (Company: IU/L)

5-50 in 0.2-1 week, 50-500 in 1-2 weeks, 100-5000 in 2-3 weeks, 500-10000 in 3-4 weeks, 1000-50000 in 4-5 weeks, 10000-100000 in 5-6 weeks, 15000-200000 in 6-8 weeks, 10000-100000 in 9-12 weeks.

Because hCG is a specific estrogen that needs to be metabolized when a woman is pregnant, hCG can be used to help diagnose the details of pregnancy in the early stages of pregnancy.

After a woman becomes pregnant, an increase in hCG in the blood can be measured from the 9th to 11th day. The amount of hCG secreted by normally growing hair is very large, and the daily titer continues to increase rapidly. The hCG level approximately doubles every 2 days. That is, if the amount of hcg increased every two days exceeds 66% (even if there is threatened miscarriage, the increase rate of hcg will not change), for example, today it is 234, if the next day's test is around 450, it can be considered a normal intrauterine pregnancy. On the contrary, if the rate of increase is slow for two consecutive times, it indicates ectopic pregnancy or abnormal language development of the test tube embryo. For example, if today's hcg is 234, the acquired value is 300, and the next two values are 400. Such hcg values are definitely abnormal, and the success rate of pregnancy maintenance is extremely low.

However, if the HCG increase rate is very fast, it means there is a possibility of hydatidiform mole, which must be closely monitored. Of course, it is also possible that the baby may be twins.

What is an abnormal hcg value?

The hcg value can be used to accurately measure whether a woman is pregnant, the duration of pregnancy, and whether it is an ectopic pregnancy. The hcg value is measured through a blood hcg test. The accuracy of this test method is much higher than the hcg value. So what is an abnormal hcg value?

1. Ectopic pregnancy: In the case of ectopic pregnancy, this test has only a 60% detection rate. Three days after abnormal uterine bleeding, hCG can still be positive, so hCG testing can be used to distinguish it from other acute abdomen. hCG is usually between 312 and 625 IU/L.

2. Diagnosis and treatment of miscarriage: In the case of incomplete miscarriage, if there is still embryonic tissue remaining in the uterus, the hCG test may still be positive. In the case of complete miscarriage or fetal death, the hCG test will turn from positive to negative, and thus it can be used as a reference for tocolysis or curettage treatment.

3. Premature miscarriage: If the hCG level in urine remains high, miscarriage is unlikely to occur. If the hCG level is below 2500 IU/L and decreases slowly, there is a possibility of miscarriage or stillbirth. When it drops to 600 IU/L, miscarriage is inevitable. During the treatment of tocolysis, if hCG continues to decrease, it indicates that the tocolysis is ineffective. If hCG continues to rise, it indicates that the tocolysis is successful.

4. 4 days after giving birth or 13 days after artificial abortion, the blood cell hCG should be less than 1000 IU/L. 9 days after giving birth or 25 days after artificial abortion, the blood cell hCG should recover. If this condition is not met, the possibility of abnormality should be considered.
