There are actually different types of melanoma, and different types of melanoma are more common in different locations. For example, the more familiar ones, such as acral melanoma, are mainly found in the palms, soles, and under the nails in the early stages. The color may gradually change from yellowish and brown to grayish black. It is relatively flat and does not exceed the plane. It may gradually develop proximally or radiate.

Even in Asians, melanoma manifests itself in acral and mucosal types, most of which are in areas where the sun cannot reach. Half of them appear on the hands, feet, toes, etc., and another quarter is mucosal type, which is located in the mucous membrane area such as the esophagus and anus.
