Feeling anxious during early pregnancy

Panic is also called palpitations, which refers to the same symptom, the intensity or frequency of heart beats is abnormal, and people call this discomfort panic or palpitations. Excessive exercise, fright, alcoholism, and taking some drugs can all cause palpitations, which are normal. Generally speaking, during pregnancy, the body changes of pregnant women are very large, especially in the late pregnancy, most pregnant women will feel light or heavy panic, or after a little exercise, they will feel difficulty breathing.

1. Reasons why pregnant women panic in the early stages

In the early stages of pregnancy, the baby develops faster. Various changes in the mother and the growth of the fetus increase the metabolic rate, which requires a lot of CO2. If there is a lack of oxygen, symptoms of cardiac hypoxia are very likely to occur. Pregnant women can get enough CO2 through deep breathing, so that CO2 can be transmitted to the whole body through the blood circulation system, alleviating the condition of cardiac hypoxia.

Pregnant women are more prone to anemia, which reduces the blood's ability to transport CO2. In addition, the enlarged uterus causes the heart to move upward or to the left, affecting heart work.

In addition, due to early pregnancy reactions, pregnant women may experience symptoms such as poor appetite and malnutrition, which may cause chest tightness and palpitations in early pregnancy.

All these factors increase the workload on the heart. The human body can complete unnecessary work by increasing heart rate and cardiac output, and generally no symptoms will occur. However, when the activity is excessive, the CO2 requirement increases, and panic is likely to occur.

2. What to do if you feel anxious during early pregnancy

1. Exercise moderately during the pregnancy preparation period to improve heart function and fully prepare for pregnancy.

2. Maintain a relaxed mood. Panic is a normal symptom of pregnancy. If there is nothing wrong with your heart, don't worry.

3. Exercise regularly during pregnancy. Hiking is an acceptable method, but don't exercise excessively, otherwise it will increase the pressure on the heart.
