Is it normal for my period to end in three days?

Menstruation is a sign of being a woman. Many times, we pay attention to whether the menstruation comes normally, but many people do not care much about the time and amount of menstruation. In fact, no matter how long the menstruation lasts, the time period, or how much or how little the menstruation volume is, it can predict a woman's health. Some women's menstruation only lasts for three days. Is this normal? What's going on?

Normal menstruation

Normal menstruation is cyclical. The first day of bleeding is the beginning of the menstrual cycle, and the interval between the first days of two menstrual periods is called a menstrual cycle. It usually lasts from 21 to 35 days, with an average of 28 days. The duration of each menstrual period is called the menstrual period, which is usually 2 to 8 days, with an average of 4 to 6 days.

The amount of menstrual blood loss during one menstrual period varies from woman to woman, but is generally 20 to 100 ml. It is normal to change sanitary napkins or paper 3 to 5 times a day.

How to determine if you have scanty menstruation

Normal menstrual bleeding should be 30 to 60 ml, and more than 80 ml is considered menorrhagia. Based on the rough estimate of sanitary napkin usage, the normal usage is to change it four or five times a day on average, with no more than two packs (10 pieces per pack) per cycle.

If 3 packs of sanitary napkins are not enough and almost every sanitary napkin is soaked, it means that the menstrual flow is too heavy. It is generally believed that menstrual volume less than 30 ml is considered oligomenorrhea.

What is the reason for light menstrual flow?

The main symptom of oligomenorrhea in patients aged 15 to 20 years is polycystic ovary syndrome. The main factor of oligomenorrhea in patients aged 21 to 25 years and 26 to 35 years is intrauterine adhesion. Premature ovarian failure is more common in patients aged 36 to 40 years.

1. Excessive dieting for weight loss (25%)

For various reasons, many women have very high demands on their body shape. Women's menstruation is closely related to their weight and body fat content. In particular, women who have menstrual problems should stop losing weight, strengthen their nutrition, and restore their health.

2. Excessive work and rest, endocrine disorders (20%)

With a fast-paced life and high-intensity work, many women would probably go crazy if they encounter those uncomfortable days every month. If they do not pay attention to maintaining a good work and rest routine and relaxing at this time, it is likely to cause scanty menstruation.

3. Often sulking and feeling depressed (20%)

Female friends should never hold back when they feel wronged. From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, holding back can easily cause liver depression and qi stagnation, thereby reducing menstrual flow. In addition, excessive mental stimulation, tension and psychological trauma can also cause oligomenorrhea.

4. Artificial abortion (15%)

After an artificial abortion, the ovaries can generally resume ovulation function within 22 days, and menstruation will occur in about 1 month. However, a small number of women experience prolonged menstruation, irregular cycles, and amenorrhea after artificial abortion, which usually return to normal after 2-3 months.

5. Ovarian dysfunction (10%)

The function of the ovaries directly affects women's menstruation. In the late menstrual period, the menstrual volume is small. Most modern medicine believes that this is related to poor follicular development or anovulation. Therefore, promoting ovulation and strengthening ovarian function are the main links in treating oligomenorrhea.

6. Chest lesions (5%)

Many women experience premenstrual breast pain but little menstrual flow. Do not take this lightly, because symptoms such as breast pain may be caused by liver depression and qi stagnation. You need to soothe the liver and regulate qi, and unblock the blood vessels to achieve the overall menstruation regulation effect.
