Normal height for a 13 year old girl

Normal height for a 13 year old girl

What is the standard height and weight for a 13 year old child? It is your fault that your baby stops moving forward. Actually, it is not. If you make good acquired preparations, your baby can also grow taller. Promote children's growth from the aspects of nutrition, exercise, sleep quality, and growth environment. So what is the standard height and weight for a 13-year-old boy or girl?

The standard weight for a 13-year-old boy is 42-55kg, and the standard height is 154-164cm.

The standard weight for girls is 40~50kg, and the standard height is 152~162cm.

A recent survey organized by the World Health Organization pointed out that the growth and development of children has a certain periodicity, and the growth rate is not the same in the growth stage. There are two stages of more obvious and rapid height growth, one is the neonatal period before 2 years old, and the other is the puberty period around 13 years old. The stage around 13 years old is particularly important, because in this one or two years, the average annual height of boys may reach 7 to 12 cm, and that of girls may reach 6 to 9 cm. If you miss this stage, it may be very difficult to "catch up" and the results may not be ideal.

Method for measuring weight and height (length) of 13-year-old children:

When measuring, you should take off your shoes, hat, and socks. It is best to measure in the morning. Babies under 3 years old can be measured while lying down, but their knees should be straight and their heads should be held steady with both hands. Babies over 3 years old can be measured while standing up, with their feet aligned and standing against the door, and the back of the pillow, shoulders, hips, and heels should touch the door.

Weight measurement method:

Each measurement should be done after the baby has gone to the toilet and on an empty stomach, subtracting the weight of clothes and diapers from the measurement.

Criteria for judging obesity in children:

Medicine believes that when the weight exceeds the standard weight of children of the same gender and height by 20%, the child can be considered obese. Therefore, whether a baby is obese should be judged based on the standards of height and weight. According to different levels of overload, it can be divided into:

Mild: 20%-29% above the standard weight

Mild to moderate: 30%-49% above the standard weight

Moderate to severe: Overweight by more than 50%
