Why does itching occur during early pregnancy?

There will be many reactions in the early stages of pregnancy. Because the pregnancy has just begun, after the hormone levels in the body have changed, pregnant women have not yet quickly adapted to these changes in the body. Therefore, when itching symptoms appear in early pregnancy, pregnant women often can't help scratching hard. So what is the reason for itching in early pregnancy?

1. Cholestasis

Cholestasis is a disease caused by compression of the uterus. If it is not treated accordingly, it will cause skin itching. This disease does not cause any harm to the skin, and it is not easy to cause dark spots on the skin, but the most obvious symptom is extreme itching, which may have some impact on the baby, so it must be treated quickly.

2. Irritating Clothes and Pants

Unreasonable clothing and unreasonable clothing fabrics will cause skin itching. Some friends like to wear clothes made of synthetic fabrics, or like to wear silk scarves, lace-edge clothing, although they look very beautiful on the body, the fabrics will scratch the skin and cause redness of the skin.

3. Irritant properties of chemicals

During pregnancy, some pregnant women will often use some skin care products, or use some shower gels containing growth hormone ingredients, which will cause skin discomfort and itching. The symptoms will be more obvious in winter. Therefore, pregnant women are advised not to use irritating skin care products. If you have to use them, try to choose maternal and child products. Such products have quality assurance and are safe to use.

What to pay attention to in early pregnancy

In early pregnancy, pay attention to the following:

1. Diet during pregnancy. Pregnant women need balanced and effective nutrition: a combination of labor and food, a balance of size, a proper amount of satiety and hunger, and not being picky about food. They should also determine the amount of intake and diet based on their own exercise volume, physical fitness, and weight before pregnancy.

2. Have regular pregnancy check-ups. In order to promptly understand the development of the fetus and your own health status, pregnant women should conduct basic prenatal examinations regularly. A pregnancy check-up is a professional examination performed on pregnant women by an obstetrician. Starting from the early stages of pregnancy, pregnant women should check once a month; after 28 weeks of pregnancy, check once every 2 weeks; and after 36 weeks, check once a week. If any abnormality is found during the examination, seek medical attention immediately.

3. Adequate sleep quality. During pregnancy, make sure you get enough sleep to achieve your restful sleep. Generally, you should ensure at least 8-9 hours of sleep quality every night. If conditions permit, you can take a 1-2 hour nap at noon. After the second trimester of pregnancy, the best sleeping position for pregnant women is to sleep on their left side, and never lie flat on their back.

4. Pregnant women should be careful about how they dress when standing. Pregnant women should avoid wearing tight underwear, jeans, tight flesh-colored stockings, etc., and do not wear high heels. When pregnant women reach the middle and late stages of pregnancy, they should pay attention to their standing posture, keep their backs straight and their waists tight. When lifting something, bend your knees first and do not lower your head to prevent back pain. When you wake up, lie on your side first, then use your strength to help prop up your upper body. It is better to sleep on your left side at night, which can prevent the fetus from pressing on the cerebral artery and maintain blood flow.
