Vulvar eczema in women is a relatively common skin disease, which is mostly caused by spleen deficiency, lack of attention to hygiene, and exogenous wind, cold, dampness and turbidity. Vulvar eczema in women mostly occurs in the labia majora and inguinal cleft. The duration of the current medical history is uncertain, the onset is irregular, and the active symptoms are usually not obvious. It occurs when sleeping or nervous. The accompanying itching may cause secondary infection after scratching, resulting in local redness and small pus spots in the center of some small papules.

Acute symptoms of private part eczema

The specific manifestations are severe itching and focal redness of the private parts. The skin lesions are polymorphic without obvious boundaries. As the disease progresses, needle-sized papules, papulovesicles or small blisters appear on the skin surface, and basal hematomas are found, with unclear boundaries of damage. This will aggravate erosion, edema and extravasation.

Scratching accompanied by a burning sensation and intense itching will injure the skin, causing infection and scarring. It may also be accompanied by symptoms such as groin lymph node enlargement, fever, and general malaise. If not treated properly, repeated attacks can prolong the current medical history and turn it into a chronic disease.

Chronic stage of private eczema

Due to repeated scratching, a small amount of plasma exudates from the affected area, making the condition difficult to heal. It causes infiltration and hypertrophy in the epidermis and dermis, and the skin becomes rough. It may become lichen-like and hardened with clear boundaries. The surface may often have bran-like desquamation. It may feel hard or have moist scabs. In severe cases, it may become dry and cracked, and there may be pain during movement. The skin may appear dark brown or depigmented due to crusting and pigmentation.
