What are the symptoms of uterine cold?

The symptoms of uterine cold are cold pain in the lower abdomen caused by insufficient yang energy in the female uterus. Whether it is a Chinese or Western medicine disease, the probability of uterine cold symptoms occurring is relatively high. In traditional Chinese medicine, insufficient yang energy and reduced blood in the uterus lead to symptoms of uterine cold after catching a cold. The symptoms of uterine cold are relatively obvious and easy to identify in daily life.

There are many causes of uterine cold. Some people are born with a cold constitution. For example, if their parents are older when they give birth to their children and their body lacks yang energy, their children often have a "cold constitution." Acquired factors include living in a cold environment, a preference for cold food, overwork or irritability leading to damage to Yang Qi, etc.

The symptoms of uterine cold are varied, including delayed menstrual cycle, scanty and dark menstrual flow, blood clots, or even amenorrhea; cold pain in the lower abdomen before or during menstruation, which is relieved after hot compress; and clear and profuse leucorrhea. Severe uterine cold can cause infertility.

1. Gaining weight:

People with cold uterus are often overweight and have symptoms such as shortness of breath, fatigue, insomnia, scanty menstruation, and anovulation. When the uterus lacks heat, the body will begin to store fat in order to maintain its own physiological functions. The colder the uterus, the more fat is stored, causing weight gain.

2. Abnormal menstruation:

The menstrual period is sometimes delayed, the color is light and the amount is small. There is a feeling of heaviness in the lower abdomen before menstruation, and there is increased vaginal discharge, lower back pain or pain, and swelling and pain in the breasts. A few people have nausea and vomiting reactions. There is abdominal pain during menstruation, a cold lower abdomen, and dark menstrual color with blood clots, which is often accompanied by dysmenorrhea.

3. Weak constitution:

Poor spirit, usually back pain and weak legs, frequent urination, scanty menstruation, decreased libido, pale tongue with white coating, and deep pulse. If the true yang is insufficient, the waist will feel sore as if it is broken, the face will be dull, the lower abdomen and limbs will feel cold, the feet will be cold and weak, the mouth will have a tasteless taste, the person will like spicy and dry food, there will be frequent urination or incontinence, the tongue will be pale, the tongue coating will be greasy and slippery white, and the pulse will be deep and weak.
