How to tell if the fallopian tubes are blocked

How to tell if the fallopian tubes are blocked

The fallopian tubes are a safe channel for transporting sperm, so if the fallopian tubes are blocked, it means that the sperm cannot smoothly pass through the fallopian tubes to reach the uterus, thus leading to infertility. Therefore, many women with this situation know how to check for fallopian tube blockage.

How to check for blocked fallopian tubes

1. Hydrotubation: Introduce saline into the uterine cavity, and then force the saline to flow from the uterine cavity into the bilateral fallopian tubes. Then, the amount of liquid flowing back is used to determine whether the bilateral fallopian tubes are blocked. This method has a high misdiagnosis rate and is not recommended.

2. Ultrasound angiography: Introduce drugs into the hysterography examination tube, and then use the test instrument to observe whether the fallopian tubes on both sides are unobstructed. This method of physical examination will not cause harm to the patient and has certain therapeutic effects, but the cost is relatively expensive.

3. Contrast examination: This examination technology is to introduce contrast agent into the uterine cavity and bilateral fallopian tubes through a tube, use X-ray device to perform X-ray fluoroscopy and film, and judge whether the bilateral fallopian tubes are unobstructed, the location of blockage and the shape of the uterine cavity according to the development of contrast agent in the bilateral fallopian tubes and pelvis. Certain treatment can be carried out at the same time, and the cost is not high. It is the most effective way to examine bilateral fallopian tubes at this stage.

4. Laparoscopy is very effective in diagnosing fallopian tube obstruction, so we should learn more about this. Laparoscopy is to introduce melanin fluid into the uterus through the uterine tube, and observe the melanin fluid overflowing into the pelvis through the fimbriae of both fallopian tubes through laparoscopic surgery, indicating that both fallopian tubes are smooth; if both proximal fallopian tubes are blocked, melanin fluid will not overflow into the abdomen through the fimbriae of both fallopian tubes, indicating that the fallopian tubes are blocked. If both distal fallopian tubes are blocked, the fimbriae of both fallopian tubes and ampullae of both fallopian tubes will be enlarged, thickened and stained blue, but the melanin fluid will flow into the abdomen through the fimbriae of both fallopian tubes.

Common problems with angiography

1. The angiography examination must be performed within 2-7 days after the menstrual period ends.

2. It is best not to have sex before the menstrual examination.

3. Do not take a sitting bath or have sexual intercourse for half a month after the angiography examination. Antibiotics may be considered to prevent infection.

4. It is best to take contraceptive measures for three months after the angiography examination to reduce the possible impact of direct X-rays. However, clinical observations have found that women who become pregnant this month after angiography do not have an increased risk of fetal abnormalities.

5. Avoid eating spicy food and maintain a light diet.

How to check for fallopian tube blockage? The above has given a detailed introduction to many female patients. Therefore, if you have fallopian tube blockage, you must go through the examination as soon as possible. After the examination results are out, go to a regular hospital as soon as possible and use reasonable methods to clear the blocked fallopian tubes. Only in this way can your sperm successfully pass through the fallopian tubes and reach the uterus.
