What does the cervix look like?

What does the cervix look like?

The cervix is one of the key organs in the female urinary system. From embryos and fetuses to old age, the cervix is involved in disease prevention and health care issues such as gynecology, obstetrics, family planning, prenatal and postpartum care, and reproductive health throughout a woman's life. It involves women's own physical and mental health, family harmony, economic and social issues, and is also closely related to sex and reproduction.

The cervix may have a variety of symptoms, including abnormalities in embryonic development, inflammation, neoplasia, benign tumors, malignant tumors, damage, cervical infertility, family planning policy, assisted reproductive technology, cervix and sex, cervical pregnancy, cervical dystocia and many other gynecological problems. The cervix is an important defense to prevent pathogens from entering the internal reproductive organs, but it is also under the erosion of various pathogenic factors (childbirth, miscarriage, surgical damage to the cervix, etc.); and the cervical endometrium has many wrinkles and cracks, and it is difficult to eliminate the bacteria lurking here, which can easily cause cervical inflammation.

This disease can be divided into acute and chronic types. The latter is often caused by the inability of the former to heal immediately. Chronic cervicitis is more common in clinical medicine. Its most obvious symptom is thick milky white mucus or purulent yellowish mucus leucorrhea. In addition, it may be accompanied by vulvar itching, lumbar pain, etc.

What are the openings of the cervix?

Generally speaking, the cervical opening of a woman who has not given birth is ring-shaped, while the cervical opening of a woman who has given birth is straight.

The uterus of an adult is an inverted pear-shaped and can be divided into three parts: the uterine body, uterine fundus and cervix. The inner wall of the uterus is relatively narrow, with the upper end in the uterine body, called the uterine body, and the lower end in the cervix, called the cervical canal. The upper opening of the cervical canal connects to the uterine body, and the lower hole connects to the vagina, called the cervical opening. The cervical opening of a woman who has not given birth is ring-shaped with smooth and neat edges. After giving birth, the cervical opening becomes transversely fissured, which is what we often call a straight line.

The uterus is composed of two parts: the uterine body and the cervix. The cervix is short and cylindrical. The cervix of a single girl appears as a small round hole and is usually closed. For women who have given birth before, the cervix will expand and tear slightly during the delivery process, and the cervical muscle tissue will rupture, so the cervical mouth will be in a straight line shape. It is recommended to pay attention to the hygiene of the private parts, eat light food, exercise moderately to increase immunity, and strictly prohibit sexual intercourse during menstruation.
