What determines placental maturity?

The histological changes of the embryo are the basis for ultrasound evaluation of placental maturity. Generally, placental maturity is divided into four levels: level 0, level 1, level 11 and level 111. As the number of weeks of pregnancy changes, the embryonic ultrasound imaging diagnosis also changes. There are crossovers and individual differences between the various levels of placental maturity. Let's discuss what determines the maturity of the placenta.

The maturity of the embryo is generally determined by the number of weeks of pregnancy. Generally, the embryo will be mature and reach grade two or three in the late pregnancy. During the early pregnancy, the embryo is usually grade one, which is normal. However, the grade classification of the embryo is generally measured by B-ultrasound, which is more accurate.

When the embryo information changes to level 0 and level 1, it indicates that the pregnancy is premature and you should get pregnant again. When the embryo is level 11, it indicates that the embryo is mature. When the embryo changes to level 111, it indicates that the fetus is mature or may have reached maturity, and termination of pregnancy is recommended.

If the embryo is fragile, it may cause insufficient oxygen to the baby. Therefore, in the late pregnancy, you need to closely monitor the fetal movement. You need to count the fetal movements in the morning, noon and evening. Each time you count the fetal movements, you should do so in one hour. If the fetal movement is more than five times per hour, this is normal. If the fetal movement decreases, it may be caused by insufficient oxygen, and you need to seek medical attention immediately.

Generally, the maturity of the placenta is normal. Generally, in most cases, it is level two to level three. Very rarely, it is level one or 0, which means it is very tender. Generally speaking, if you want to choose a natural birth, just go with the flow. The fetal position must be correct, and there should be no heart disease, high blood pressure, etc. Also, the size of the fetus and its proportion to your pelvis must be considered.
