What does cervical hsil mean?

In recent years, many women have undergone cervical cancer screening, and many have been found to have abnormal cervical squamous epithelial cells (ASC-US, ASC-H, LSIL, HSIL) or HPV-positive results. Therefore, many have undergone colposcopic biopsy, and many have reported cervical squamous intraepithelial disease (LSIL, HSIL, CIN) during puncture biopsy.

What does cervical hsil mean?

Cervical HSIL is a precancerous lesion, which is a neoplastic change in other high-grade epithelial cells of the cervix. Cervical HSIL may develop into cervical cancer, and the probability of lesions is very high.

When patients undergo cervical TCT, if abnormalities of cervical HSIL are found, a puncture biopsy under colposcopy is required to confirm the actual condition. If cervical HSIL is diagnosed, cervical erosion surgery can be considered for cone biopsy treatment.

After cone biopsy, pathological examination is required to eliminate malignant changes and ensure that the margins are completely removed. Please note that when performing vaginal examination and cervical puncture biopsy, it is necessary to do it after the menstrual period is over, and regular follow-up should be carried out after the operation.

If the following three conditions are found during screening, a colposcopy and cervical puncture biopsy are required:

(1) TCT cytology test result is ASC-US, and HPV is positive;

(2) TCT cytology result > AUS-US, regardless of whether HPV is positive or not;

(3) HPV16 or 18 is positive, or HPV continues to be positive after 12 months, regardless of whether TCT is abnormal.

Note: The condition of TCT >AUS-US includes: ASC-H, LSIL, HSIL. Detailed cervical cancer screening: Thanks to me for learning "How to read TCT and HPV test list".

The following three situations only require regular maintenance:

(1) TCT cytology test results are normal and HPV is negative, and should be checked every 3 years;

(2) TCT cytology test results were negative for ASC-US and HPV, and follow-up was performed in 1 year;

(3) TCT cytology test results were normal, HPV types other than 16 and 18 were positive, and follow-up was performed in 1 year.
