Is spontaneous abortion related to sperm?

Is spontaneous abortion related to sperm?

When fetal arrest, miscarriage, embryo remodeling and other situations occur, many women feel guilty, thinking that it is their own body defects that cause such adverse effects. In fact, these are not entirely female factors, but are also closely related to men. Fetal arrest, biochemical miscarriage, and spontaneous abortion are generally referred to as spontaneous abortion in medicine. If it happens three or more times, it is called habitual abortion. There are many reasons for the disease:

1. It is related to sperm. The main cause of miscarriage is genetic factors. In other words, the most important factor causing miscarriage is chromosomal abnormality of the test tube embryo. The sex chromosomes of the test tube embryo are inherited from the mother and father. Therefore, if the sperm has chromosomal abnormality, the test tube embryo will have chromosomal abnormality and cause miscarriage. For example, Robertson translocation and balanced translocation are relatively common factors of miscarriage. These two types of patients have approximately 1/18 and 1/6 chances of normal pregnancy, so the chance of miscarriage is extremely high.

2. There are many reasons for spontaneous abortion. In addition to those related to men, most of them are related to women, including endocrine factors, immunological factors, genetic factors, thrombotic status, anatomical factors, infectious factors, etc. Some are related to the working environment and living environment. Therefore, if it happens more than twice, it is recommended to check it systematically.

3. Not all cases of habitual miscarriage can be caused by a missing person. Many of them cannot be caused. Some occur during pregnancy, some are caused before pregnancy, and some are caused by environmental factors. In any case, it is recommended to actively treat the cause if the cause is found. If the cause is not clear, seek medical attention immediately once you are pregnant and actively plan and coordinate the treatment of pregnancy.

What are the adverse effects of abnormal sperm in men?

Sperm chromosomal abnormality: If a man has chromosomal abnormality, the sperm produced by him is likely to have chromosomal abnormality. If the sperm and egg with genetic abnormality combine closely, it will directly cause chromosomal abnormality in the test tube embryo, thereby increasing the probability of miscarriage;

High sperm DNA fragmentation rate: The quality of sperm is not only reflected in quantity, quality and shape, but also in sperm functionality. If the sperm DNA fragmentation rate is high, it is like an egg with the yolk scattered. It looks normal on the surface, but is actually damaged inside. Even if the egg can be fertilized, the probability of early embryo failure or embryo arrest will increase.

Anti-sperm antibodies on the surface of sperm membrane: Under normal circumstances, fertilization occurs when a single sperm penetrates the egg cell with the help of many sperm brothers. If there are antigens on the surface of the sperm membrane, it will reduce the ability of the sperm to penetrate the egg cell and increase the possibility of bringing foreign matter into the egg cell, thereby increasing the risk of abnormal development of the test tube embryo. Abnormal growth and development of test tube embryos can lead to miscarriage. Therefore, miscarriage in women is related to male sperm.

Postscript: The above information has already established the relationship between miscarriage and sperm, so here is a reminder for non-pregnant fathers to pay attention to exercise and a balanced diet to ensure the quality of sperm.
