Pregnancy 1 to 9 months fetal position changes

Pregnancy 1 to 9 months fetal position changes

The posture and position of the fetus in the uterus. Fetal position refers to the specific position of the fetus's presenting part in relation to the front, back, left and right of the mother's pelvis. The normal fetal position is mostly occipital anterior. After 30 weeks of pregnancy, during pregnancy check-up, breech position, transverse position, occiput posterior position, and face position were found. This is called transverse position of the fetus, among which breech position is the most common. If the transverse position of the fetus is not corrected, it may lead to dystocia during delivery.

When does the baby turn his head?

The fetus usually changes to the head position on its own around 30 weeks. Generally speaking, the baby's head position will gradually lower to a head-up position after 6 or 7 months, but if the fetus is in a transverse position, it is difficult to say which week it started. Sometimes the early stage is breech position and then changes to head position. If the mother does not have the umbilical cord around the neck, she can do fetal position correction exercises under the guidance of a doctor. If the breech presentation is still present after 30 weeks, the chances of it turning around are much smaller. However, there are exceptions. For example, if the fetus is small and the mother's pelvis is relatively large, the presentation may turn around in the late pregnancy. Generally, after 30 weeks of pregnancy, most of them can naturally turn to head presentation. Therefore, the fetus usually changes to head presentation autonomously around 30 weeks.

What is the whole process of changes in the fetal position?

The head grows faster during the creation process, so the position of the fetus's head is constantly changing. 8 weeks - 11 weeks: (The test tube embryo is growing soon - the growth is progressing) the head position is relatively correct. 12 weeks (3 months) - 16 weeks: (The fetus's body and weight gain increase rapidly) The fetal head begins to tilt forward. May (17 weeks - 20 weeks): The baby's head is more forward. July: The baby's head is positioned with the basic house facing downwards. September - 38 weeks: (The fetus has basically completed growth and development) The fetus's head is completely facing downwards (ready to be born).

During the whole process of the baby's growth and development in the belly, expectant mothers spend these ten months eagerly, paying close attention to the condition of the baby in the belly, and do not want to miss any key points. The growth and development of the fetal head is particularly important, which is related to the quality of life of the newborn after birth and when he grows up, so the change of the fetal head position should be paid special attention to.
