In the fusion of sperm and egg, only one can enter the egg and combine with the egg nucleus to produce sperm and egg fusion. Other sperm gradually shrink and dissolve. Reproductive process 1. Pregnancy The combination of sperm and egg continues to carry out cell division and slowly grows into a blastocyst. The blastocyst slowly moves into the uterus and finally implants into the uterine wall, just like a seed falling into the soil. That's pregnancy. 2. Embryonic development After the egg is fertilized, it begins to break down and divide to form a blastocyst. The first cell mass produced is the morula, which then produces an embryo and embeds itself in the uterine wall, absorbing nutrients from the pregnant mother and continuing to grow. After two months of growth and development, the test tube embryo reaches 22mm in length and has begun to take on a human shape in appearance. Therefore, a test tube embryo around the 8th week is called a fetus, and the embryonic development process from this point on can also be called fetal development. 3. Nutritional composition of test tube embryos The test tube embryo grows and develops in the pregnant mother's uterus, obtaining the necessary nutrients and CO2 from the pregnant mother through the embryo and the fetal umbilical cord; and waste products such as carbon dioxide produced by the fetus.
