How to read the four-dimensional color Doppler ultrasound report

Many pre-pregnancy physical examinations require four-dimensional color ultrasound, but for pregnant women, all they get is just a four-dimensional color ultrasound examination report. For pregnant women without professional skills, checking the four-dimensional color ultrasound examination report is a very troublesome problem. So how do we actually judge four-dimensional color ultrasound?

1. Fetal system screening

First, let's take a look at the fetal grade classification. The examination report is mainly divided into three levels. Level 1 is the initial stage of fetal development. At this time, the echo of B-ultrasound is uniform, and this change can usually be seen at 30-32 weeks of pregnancy. Level 2 is the expression embryo is close to perfection. Level 3 expression embryos have long been perfected. Therefore, for pregnant women, it is generally sufficient to just understand this item.

2. Then observe the various indicators of the fetus

These indicators include amniotic fluid depth, amniotic fluid index, biparietal diameter, baby's head circumference, hip circumference, femur length, humerus length, thalamus thickness, lateral ventricle, and posterior cranial fossa. The following is a brief introduction to the following indicators of amniotic fluid depth and amniotic fluid index.

Amniotic fluid depth: Generally speaking, 3-7cm is considered normal. More than 7cm indicates excessive amniotic fluid, while less than 3cm indicates insufficient amniotic fluid. Whether it is too much amniotic fluid or too little amniotic fluid, it is an abnormal condition.

Amniotic fluid index: Starting from the pregnant woman's belly button, divide the pregnant woman's abdomen into four areas: front, back, left and right. Then add up the amniotic fluid depths in the four areas to get the amniotic fluid index. In the late stages of pregnancy, the standard value of the amniotic fluid index should be 8-18 (24) cm.

First, look at the fetal head position and see whether the fetal head contour reported by the four-dimensional color ultrasound is complete. If it is damaged or deformed, it is abnormal. If there is no movement of the brain center line and no hydrocephalus, it is normal.

Next, check the fetal heartbeat. If it exists, it is considered normal.

Third, look at the embryo. The normal thickness of the embryo should be between 25 and 50 mm. In the four-dimensional color ultrasound examination report, the placental maturity is divided into four levels: 0, Ⅰ, Ⅱ, and Ⅲ based on the changes in the chorion, embryonic spot, and basement membrane. Embryo grade III can be used as a reference for the maturity of the fetus.

Fourth, look at the fetal umbilical cord. Under normal circumstances, the fetal umbilical cord should float in the amniotic fluid of the pregnant woman.

Fifth, look at the length of the femoral head. The length of the fetal thigh bone. Its standard value should be less than 20 to 30 mm different from the biparietal diameter value of the corresponding pregnancy month.

Sixth, check the amniotic fluid of the pregnant woman. The depth of amniotic fluid is between three and seven centimeters, which is normal.
