28 weeks pregnant, stomach feels hard and tight

Many women will experience some unexpected events during pregnancy. The main reason is that during pregnancy, their physical fitness and immunity become lower and lower, and there are also pregnancy reactions, which can easily cause various discomforts in the body. Therefore, pregnant women must develop a good lifestyle in their daily life, protect their bodies, and pay attention to their physical condition at all times, because only a healthy body can have a healthy baby. So why does my stomach feel hard and tight at 28 weeks of pregnancy?

Consider it to be false labor: Before the start of labor in pregnant women, irregular labor contractions often occur due to increased sensitivity of the uterine muscle layer. Its characteristics: 1. The frequency of uterine contractions is inconsistent, and the duration of frequent contractions is irregular; 2. The intermittent time is long and irregular; 3. The intensity of frequent contractions does not increase, and they often occur at night and disappear in the morning; 4. Frequent contractions only cause mild distension and pain in the lower abdomen; 5. The cervical canal does not shrink, and the cervical opening does not dilate significantly.

When the delivery date is approaching, there will be frequent and painful uterine contractions. This is a sign of labor in pregnant women, so there is no need to worry. When uterine contractions are frequent at the beginning, some pregnant women experience pain in the abdomen and waist. The pain level also varies. Sometimes it's mild, sometimes it's more intense. Frequent uterine contractions are an advance preparation for the birth of a newborn.

However, the frequent uterine contractions that occur during the 28th week of pregnancy are generally physiological false contractions, which are not true uterine contractions during labor. Therefore, expectant mothers should have a certain degree of discrimination against this kind of situation. Pathological uterine contractions are frequent and periodic with short intervals.

For the frequent uterine contractions at 28 weeks of pregnancy, pregnant mothers can reasonably reduce the frequent uterine contractions by ensuring the following:

1. Don’t lift heavy objects and don’t walk too far.

2. When you feel tired, lie down and rest immediately, and keep quiet.

3. Don’t have any work pressure, because mental fatigue and physical fatigue will cause some unforgettable adverse effects, so you must ensure that your mind and body are relieved.

4. Be careful not to be too cold. In summer, try not to use air conditioning, as this will make the waist and abdomen cold and easily cause frequent uterine contractions.
