Does a rise in body temperature mean ovulation or imminent ovulation?

Women are very concerned about the changes in their body temperature during the ovulation period. We can see the ovulation period from the changes in body temperature. Once a woman starts to ovulate, her body temperature will rise. The body temperature will change with the ovulation period. Does the increase in body temperature mean that she is in the ovulation period or is about to ovulate? Let’s learn how to master it together below!

If the body temperature rises during ovulation, does it mean that ovulation has already occurred or is about to occur?

It is usually between 36.6 and 37 degrees.

A woman's ovulation body temperature generally changes with the ovulation period: in the first half of the menstrual cycle, the body temperature fluctuates below 36.6 degrees. After the ovulation period, it enters the first half of the menstrual cycle. Under normal circumstances, the body temperature is higher than the first half, and the normal fluctuation is between 36.6 degrees and 37 degrees. If the body temperature rises, it indicates that ovulation has occurred. After about half a month of high temperature, the body temperature will drop again, and then the menstrual period will come. If you are pregnant, your body temperature will not drop again during ovulation.

What changes occur in body temperature during ovulation? The body temperature during ovulation changes between high and low phases. The body temperature rises during ovulation.

When the body is in a state of complete rest, free from the influence of spirit and all kinds of factors, the body temperature measured is called ovulation temperature. It is most accurate to measure the body temperature when you wake up between 6 and 7 in the morning and when you are not awake and moving. The body temperature during ovulation can more accurately reflect the ovulation function of the uterus and ovaries and the relative endocrine level.

The period before ovulation is the follicular phase, during which the uterus and ovaries metabolize female hormones. During the ovulation period, the body temperature is generally below 36.6°C. After ovulation, progesterone is produced in the uterus and ovaries, and progesterone metabolizes estrogen. Estrogen has a thermoregulatory effect on the central nervous system, raising the basal body temperature by 0.3-0.5℃. The rise in body temperature continues until 1-2 days before the onset of menstruation, when it begins to drop. Thus, in a physiological cycle with ovulation, the change of ovulation body temperature shows a biphasic curve. When ultra-low temperature transitions to high temperature, there will be an extremely low temperature. The day when the extremely low temperature occurs is the ovulation period.
