Caesarean section and natural birth

Caesarean section and natural birth

As we all know, there are two ways to give birth, one is the traditional natural childbirth, that is, choosing vaginal delivery, and the other is cesarean section. Generally, cesarean section is required when the fetus is in a transverse position, the umbilicus is around the neck, there is intrauterine hypoxia, low amniotic fluid, or in emergency situations. Many mothers say that it is better to choose natural childbirth, but they can't really say how good it is. They just say that it can improve the baby's immunity. However, many mothers choose cesarean section because they are worried about the severe pain during natural delivery. What are the advantages and disadvantages of caesarean section and natural birth?

Natural birth and cesarean section are the only two modes of delivery in clinical practice, and pregnant women must choose one of these two modes of delivery. Both have their pros and cons, but overall, natural childbirth has more benefits.

First, choosing normal delivery means natural delivery, that is, the fetus is delivered through the lower uterus, cervix and vagina in turn, which has many benefits for the fetus and the pregnant mother. The biggest harm is that it will cause certain impact on the female's pelvic floor, but this kind of harm can be alleviated through self-repair and equipment treatment after giving birth.

Second, cesarean section is a surgical method of delivering the fetus, which will cause significant damage to the uterus, pelvis and abdominal cavity. However, cesarean section can save the newborn baby in time and reduce other risks faced by women during the delivery process, so cesarean section also has certain benefits. But overall, the damage caused by cesarean section is much greater than that caused by natural birth, so it is better to choose natural birth.

Choose a natural birth

Advantages:

1. For pregnant women, postpartum recovery is fast. You can get out of bed and walk on the day of delivery. The abdomen recovers quickly after giving birth. The complications are relatively less;

2. For the baby, during the delivery process, the baby's lungs will be squeezed by the birth canal, causing most of the water originally contained in the lungs in the uterus to be squeezed out. First, it can reduce neonatal asphyxia, and the incidence of pneumonia will also be reduced.

defect:

1. Prenatal labor pains;

2. It can cause damage to the perineum or even infection, private abscesses, and a high probability of various inflammations;

3. Bleeding after childbirth due to poor uterine contractions. In severe cases, the uterus needs to be removed, which may even seriously endanger life.

4. Complications such as postpartum vaginal relaxation, uterine and bladder prolapse, etc.

Caesarean section

Advantages:

1. Less pain before delivery;

2. Being able to choose the time of birth of the child is helpful for pregnant women to make adequate preparations in advance;

3. It can prevent emergencies during the entire production process;

4. The vagina is not easily damaged.

defect:

1. For women, scars will be left on the body, and the recovery of the uterus and the whole body after surgery will be slower than natural childbirth.

2. During surgery, internal bleeding and side effects may occur, which may damage other organs in the abdominal cavity. After surgery, complications of the urinary, cardiovascular, and respiratory systems may also occur.

3. Newborns born by caesarean section have not experienced the squeezing and birth canal bacteria of the birth canal, and have direct contact with the outside world. Their innate immunity will be weaker than that of babies who are exclusively breastfed.

Natural childbirth is suitable for most women. If there are no special circumstances, it is recommended to choose natural childbirth. Although childbirth is difficult, it is relatively safe for the fetus and the pregnant mother. Finally, you should choose according to the doctor's advice.
