So let's take a look at what causes breast pain after menstruation?

What causes breast pain after menstruation?

How to judge whether you are pregnant? Normally, women of childbearing age have the possibility of pregnancy as long as they have sexual intercourse. Generally speaking, if a woman is pregnant, delayed menstruation is the first symptom to be discovered. In addition, feeling tired, sleepy, or having swollen breasts in early pregnancy is mostly normal. The following five symptoms also require special attention:

1. Menstruation is delayed. If a woman of childbearing age has had sexual intercourse before and her period is delayed for more than a week, she should consider whether she is pregnant. There are many ways to determine whether you are pregnant or not. Using early pregnancy test strips to detect early pregnancy is a common practice. In order to accurately understand whether you are pregnant, you should go to the hospital for a blood HCG test.

2. Morning sickness. It is normal to experience nausea during pregnancy. Because in the early stages of pregnancy, the embryo's hairy tissue metabolizes a growth hormone that is closely related to vomiting. Vomiting during pregnancy often occurs in the morning, usually starting one month after the menstrual period ends, and lasts for nearly two months before gradually decreasing. People with mild symptoms only feel a little nauseous in the morning and don't want to eat anything; those with more severe symptoms will start feeling uncomfortable in the morning and last all day.

3. Breast pain. Under the action of female hormones and luteinizing hormone in the uterus and ovaries, there will always be a feeling of breast pain during pregnancy, including a dull pain in the nipple and a darker color of the areola, which are all normal.

Causes of premenstrual breast pain

Breast pain before your period is normal. Before menstruation, estrogen levels increase, causing breast swelling and even varying degrees of pain and dull pain; after menarche, estrogen and oestrogen levels decrease rapidly. The stimulation of estrogen to the mammary gland weakens, the mammary gland undergoes involution, the metabolism of squamous epithelial cells in the mammary gland tube decreases, the cells shrink and fall off, the edema disappears, the breast shrinks and becomes loose, and the pain also subsides.

1. Endocrine factors. Breast pain before menstruation may be related to endocrine factors, psychological factors or water and salt retention in the body. It may also be due to abnormal release of endorphins, resulting in dysfunction of the regulatory nerves of the hypothalamus-pituitary-uterine-ovary-uterine axis or a lack of B vitamins in the body.

2. Pathological elements. Breast pain before menstruation is a manifestation of premenstrual syndrome caused by increased estrogen levels in the body, breast hyperplasia, and edema of breast tissue. Symptoms usually subside after the onset of menstruation. If there are lumps or lumps in the breast and they do not disappear after the menstrual period, it is possible that it is breast hyperplasia or breast malignancy. Regular maintenance is required to prevent it as soon as possible.

3. Premenstrual breast pain is related to the liver and stomach. According to traditional Chinese medicine, the breasts belong to the liver and gallbladder meridians, and the nipples belong to the liver meridian. Therefore, premenstrual breast pain is also closely related to the liver and stomach.
