What medicine should I take to stop bleeding during long menstruation?

Under normal circumstances, the menstrual period will be over in 3-7 days. If the menstrual period lasts more than 9 days clinically, it is considered abnormal uterine bleeding. Most of them are caused by endocrine imbalance. For example, if there is not enough estrogen, the uterine wall cannot be repaired quickly and the bleeding is not easy to stop. In this case, you can supplement estrogen by taking Bujiale orally starting on the 5th day of menstruation and continuing for 10 days.

What Chinese medicine should I take if my menstrual period is too long?

When menstruation lasts too long, we call it metrorrhagia.

Treatment of metrorrhagia requires diagnosis by a doctor, discovery of the cause and symptoms, and targeted treatment, including blood circulation treatment, regulation of menstrual cycle, and folk remedies. There are three general treatment methods:

1. Blood circulation treatment

1. Progesterone value drugs: Lutein copper 2b 250g/day, intramuscular injection for 3 days; Angong progesterone 8-16mg/day, Funing tablets 4-8mg/day or Fukang tablets 2.5-5.Omg/day, for 5 days, taken orally. For those who have been amenorrhea for a long time and have thick endometrium, testosterone propionate can be used in addition, 25 mg/day for young people and 5-250 g/day for the elderly, by intramuscular injection for 3-5 days. Suitable for patients with hemoglobin exceeding 6 grams and menopausal women with functional uterine bleeding.

2. Traditional Chinese medicine preparation of female hormone: 2 mg of diethylstilbestrol, once every 6-8 hours. Reduce the dose by 1/3 3 days after the bleeding stops, and maintain the dose at 0.5 mg/day until 20 days after the bleeding stops. Or use 2n estradiol benzoate, injected intramuscularly once every 6-8 hours. The descent method is the same as above. After the bleeding stops, switch to oral administration of diethylstilbestrol. It is suitable for adolescent patients with functional uterine bleeding who suffer from subacute internal bleeding and significant anemia.

3. Other hemostatic drugs: such as Anluoxue, hemostatic min, hemostatic aromatic acid, vitamin B12, etc., but the actual effect is not ideal, so it is only used as an auxiliary measure for promoting blood circulation.

2. Regulate physiological cycle (use after bleeding stops)

1. Artificial cycle treatment (see oligomenorrhea). Artificial cycle therapy refers to simulating the endocrine changes of the uterus and ovaries in the natural menstrual cycle, using estrogen and estradiol sequentially or in combination to cause relative changes in the uterine wall and produce regular vaginal release. That is, in the case of ovarian insufficiency, exogenous estrogen and estradiol are artificially supplemented according to the regularity of the physiological activities of the uterus and ovaries.

2. Estrogen-progestin synergistic treatment: generally using contraceptive pills.

How to treat prolonged menstruation

In addition to medication, menstruation regulation also requires a healthy lifestyle, eating less cold foods, maintaining adequate nutrition, avoiding excessive dieting, and learning to adjust and relieve stress, ensuring adequate work and rest time, etc.

1. Take care of your health. To improve nutrition, it is advisable to eat more protein-rich foods as well as vegetables and fruits. Strive to strike a balance between work and rest in life, avoid heavy physical work and excessive exercise, get enough sleep, be in a happy mood, and don't create unnecessary stress in your mind. This is very reasonable for the prevention of functional uterine bleeding and metrorrhagia.

2. Use medicine to promote blood circulation. There are two ways to stop bleeding with medicine: one is to make the uterine wall fall off cleanly, and lutein copper can be injected; the other is to make the uterine wall grow and develop, and estradiol benzoate can be injected. Using some hemostatic drugs, such as Yunnan Baiyao, Anluoxue, vitamin K, hemostatic aromatic acid and hemostatic sensitive, can generally achieve the purpose of treating functional bleeding and metrorrhagia.

3. Repair the ovaries and adjust the menstrual cycle. Generally, drugs such as diethylstilbestrol are taken continuously, 0.5-1 gram per day, for 20 days. On the last 5 days of medication, 20 mg of corpus progesterone is injected daily. Generally, multifunctional abnormal uterine bleeding during adolescence can be quickly cured with the increase of age and effective treatment. For male sexual dysfunction and abnormal uterine bleeding during ovulation, injection of human chorionic gonadotropin in the early ovulation period is expected to adjust the menstrual cycle.
