What color is the vaginal discharge before menstruation?

The yellowish color of leucorrhea and the difference in conditions can, to a certain extent, reflect the health status of female friends at this time. Before menstruation, there must usually be excretion of leucorrhea. By analyzing the secretion conditions at this time, some female gynecological diseases can be effectively prevented and treated. So, what are the secretions before menstruation? Will the leucorrhea increase before menstruation? In order to understand the above problem, it is necessary to have a certain understanding of whether the secretions will increase before menstruation. Some women often have a lot of vaginal secretions when their period is about to come, which makes people feel very uncomfortable and even suspect whether they have psychological distortion.

In fact, it is normal to have a lot of vaginal discharge in the early stage of menstruation, and there is no need to worry too much. This often happens because when menstruation is approaching, the pelvic congestion increases, and the blood volume in the cervix and vagina is more than usual, so the secretions in the vagina will naturally increase. Before your period comes, the pelvic cavity is congested, the blood volume in the cervix and vagina increases, and therefore more secretions are produced than usual.

What are the discharges after menstruation?

1. Between two menstrual periods (i.e. ovulation period), the leucorrhea is abundant, transparent, sticky like egg white and can be made into flocs. Normal leucorrhea is milky white or colorless and transparent, with a slight fishy smell or no odor. Its secretion volume and quality are affected by the level of estrogen and estrogen in the body, and the amount and quality of secretions change regularly with the menstrual cycle. If the leucorrhea is yellow, it is a manifestation of inflammatory secretions. It can generally be manifested as: the leucorrhea of candidal vaginitis is yellow or white, typical tofu-like leucorrhea or curd-like lumps, and accompanied by vulvar itching. Most of the material is thick, and sometimes it can be thinner and have a little odor. The leucorrhea of candidal vaginitis is yellow or light green, pus-like, sticky and accompanied by vulvar itching and odor. Cervical erosion is characterized by yellow leucorrhea, which increases in volume, is pus-like, and is usually odorless.

2. After the menstrual period, the vaginal discharge is small in volume, white in color, and viscous. In the middle and late menstrual period, when the uterus and ovaries are about to ovulate, due to the active secretion of the cervical gland ducts, there is a lot of leucorrhea, which is transparent and slightly sticky like egg white. 2-3 days after ovulation, vaginal discharge becomes turbid, thick and less in quantity. Before, during and after menstruation, due to pelvic congestion, vaginal mucosal exudate increases and secretions usually increase.

3. After the menstrual period is over, the blood volume in the uterus and vagina returns to normal and the secretions also decrease. In addition to the increase in leucorrhea before menstruation, some people also have increased secretions when they are tired and ovulating, which is all normal. If the leucorrhea turns yellow, becomes pus-like, has an odor, and is accompanied by vulvar itching, this is abnormal and you need to go to the hospital for a physical examination and treatment.

In fact, the amount of leucorrhea will increase not only before menstruation, but also in some cases, such as when women are overly tired or have an unhealthy lifestyle, which can cause excessive leucorrhea. At this time, female friends do not need to worry too much, as long as they keep the vulva clean to avoid infection and other diseases.
