Excessive and yellowish vaginal discharge

Excessive and yellowish vaginal discharge

It is a normal phenomenon, but excessive leucorrhea with yellowing symptoms is abnormal, because normal leucorrhea is translucent, similar to egg white with a little stickiness, but without any odor and no changes. Abnormal leucorrhea will appear green, yellow and some tofu dregs.

Normal leucorrhea in women is a white, translucent, egg white-like mucous substance that is odorless and non-irritating. If you find abnormal leucorrhea or an increase in the amount of leucorrhea, you should consider gynecological inflammation: vaginitis, cervicitis, hormone imbalance, endocrine disorders, pelvic inflammatory disease, etc.

If the leucorrhea is yellow or slightly reddish like fish washing water, with a foul smell, it is often caused by necrosis or lesions of certain tissues. Those who need to use sanitary pads when the amount is large should pay attention to timely medical examination to rule out submucosal uterine fibroids, uterine body cancer, cervical cancer, etc.

General treatment

Aggressive treatment can eliminate susceptibility factors. Keep the vulva clean and dry and avoid scratching. It is not advisable to eat spicy and irritating foods, the effect is very good. Change your underwear frequently and wash it with warm water. Do not mix it with other clothes to avoid cross infection.

Vaginal pH

The most suitable pH value for the growth of Candida is 5.5. The weakly acidic environment of the vagina can maintain the self-cleaning function of the vagina. The normal pH value is 3.7-4.5. For women with candidal vaginitis, using a weak alkaline formula female care solution during treatment will inhibit the growth and reproduction of fungi. When going to the toilet outside, you should use feminine hygiene wipes to wipe the vulva from front to back, because some mold will be carried by the anus during defecation. If you wipe from back to front, it is easy for mold to infect the vagina. Therefore, it is recommended to wash with water after defecation and keep the vulva dry to inhibit the growth of Candida.
