How to identify vulvar leukoplakia

Patients with vulvar leukoplakia may generally feel mild itching in the private parts in the early stages of the disease, which then gradually worsens. Some people may even experience unbearable itching, which is more common at night. The symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia are determined by different conditions. Generally, the symptoms of vulvar leukoplakia are itching, cracking, ulceration, hyperplasia, thickening, roughness, hardening, scaling, pus or shrinkage, adhesion, etc. The color of vulvar leukoplakia patients can be white like frost, gray, light pink or black. In addition, the most serious symptom of vulvar leukoplakia is unbearable itching.

After suffering from this disease, patients usually feel unbearable itching of the vulva, as if there is a drilling feeling. The itching is paroxysmal, more common at night, accompanied by burning, dryness and discomfort, which seriously affects sleep. Itching of the vulva, dry skin, whitening of the enlarged skin, loss of elasticity, and even shrinkage and ulceration, pain and burning sensation are all symptoms of women suffering from vulvar leukoplakia. Some women with vulvar leukoplakia will experience softening of some skin and mucous membranes, and may also experience swelling and edema. The size of the labia may shrink or even disappear, making the vulva narrower, which can lead to difficulty in sexual life.

Vulvar examination: Vulvar examination is the simplest and most direct method for diagnosing diseases. It is usually done by visually observing the wound or by physical contact.

Routine examination of leucorrhea: Routine examination of leucorrhea mainly includes 6 items such as pH acidity and alkalinity, cleanliness, and amine test. The results of the examination will vary due to different physical conditions of the patient.

Pathological examination: more samples should be taken at the site of the disease, and the puncture biopsy should be carried out on protrusions, cracks, ulcers, lumps and rough areas, so that the examination results can fully reflect the condition.

Tissue puncture biopsy: The results of this examination are more accurate and reliable than general vulvar examination, and the examination time and result display time are relatively short, usually only a dozen minutes, and it can also rule out the possibility of lesions.
