How many days of menstruation are considered normal?

Menstruation is something that every woman has experienced personally. Women have their periods every month, which is something that women are very clear about. The time of menarche is different for everyone. Some people only have their period one or two days a month, while others have it seven or eight days. Is this normal? How many days of menstruation are considered normal?

Judging from the menstrual period:

1. The menstrual period is normal

If a woman has a normal menstrual period, the monthly menstrual volume is generally around 60ML. About three to five sanitary napkins can be used a day, and the duration is about 5 days.

2. Too little menstrual flow

When a woman's menstruation comes, if it is fleeting and the menstrual volume is less than 30ML, it is considered to be too little menstrual volume. Too little menstrual flow may cause facial pigmentation, chronic headaches, and even gynecological diseases such as inflammation. In severe cases, amenorrhea may occur, leading to infertility.

3. Excessive menstrual flow

If each menstrual period lasts seven or eight days, and the menstrual volume is far more than 60ML, sanitary napkins need to be changed frequently, and menstruation even flows down the thigh roots, then the menstrual volume is excessive. If menstruation continues for many months, more than half of them will cause anemia. In more serious cases, it may cause insufficient blood supply to the brain.

Causes of irregular menstruation

1. Causes of scanty menstrual flow

(1) Causes of the disease: Uterine hypoplasia, uterine fibroids, and endocrine insufficiency can all lead to scanty menstrual flow.

(2) Mental reasons: When a person is under too much psychological pressure for a period of time, his nerves become tense, causing him to feel anxious, panicky, depressed, etc., the amount of menstruation will be abnormal and less.

(3) Environmental reasons: Long-term fatigue can also cause irregular menstruation. During menstruation, you should pay attention to rest and avoid excessive work.

2. Causes of excessive menstrual flow

The causes of excessive menstruation are roughly similar to those of oligomenorrhea. Although there is no physiological cause, mental depression, malnutrition of the human body for a certain period of time, endocrine disorders, and metabolic disorders can also lead to excessive menstruation.
