What does ovulation inhibition mean?

Nowadays, more and more women are suffering from anovulation, and this disease is gradually developing towards younger people. The causes of anovulation are also very complicated. It is a gynecological disease that women are very troubled by, and it directly affects women's pregnancy. Many female patients do not understand the meaning of inhibiting ovulation, which leads to delayed treatment. So what does inhibiting ovulation mean?

First, what does it mean to inhibit ovulation? Ovulation suppression means that taking the medicine will cause ovulation not to occur, but it will also cause ovulation to be delayed. It is recommended to take emergency contraceptive pills within 72 hours after intercourse. The earlier you take it, the better the contraceptive effect.

Second, under normal menstrual conditions, counting from the first day of the next menstrual period, the ovulation day is 14 days ago. The ovulation day and the 5 days before and 4 days after the ovulation day are added together to form the ovulation period. Due to some factors, the ovulation period may be advanced or delayed. Delayed ovulation refers to the situation where ovulation is pushed back. Menstruation usually occurs about 14 days after ovulation. Delayed ovulation usually leads to a prolonged menstrual cycle.

Third, birth control pills inhibit ovulation, which means that the follicles do not develop that month and cannot combine normally with sperm to achieve the contraceptive effect. It is not recommended to get pregnant during the month when taking contraceptive pills. It may cause temporary irregular menstruation and the ovulation time cannot be calculated.

Fourth, any emergency contraceptive contains a large amount of hormones and is a last resort measure when conventional contraception fails. It can easily lead to endocrine disorders, which may disrupt the menstrual cycle or even cause amenorrhea. Long-term use of contraceptives can lead to gynecological diseases in women and endocrine disorders in women. Secondly, a person’s mood and environment can also affect ovulation. It is recommended to adjust your mood and pay attention to timely review.

What does ovulation inhibition mean? Currently, the main consideration is generally to inhibit the ovaries from releasing eggs and achieve the purpose of contraception. However, emergency contraception is generally not recommended as it has significant side effects.
