During pregnancy, women's secretions increase, and they often hold their urine, which can easily lead to inflammation and infection. If the urine holding is severe, it may also cause nephritis and other conditions, which is bad for the health of pregnant women. If cross-infection occurs, the inflammation may also affect the cervix and uterus, posing a threat to the fetus. Therefore, holding urine during pregnancy will hurt both yourself and the fetus.

1. Harming the reproductive health of pregnant women

2. It is not good for the baby's development

Holding urine during pregnancy will keep the bladder maintaining blood flow at a normal level. After pregnancy, the uterus and bladder are close to each other. Holding urine will cause the bladder to compress the uterus, leading to insufficient blood supply to the uterus and even fetal distress. Therefore, holding urine during pregnancy is not good for the fetus.

3. Abnormal body metabolism

The body's water circulation is very important for metabolism. If the body's water enters the bladder and becomes urine, it means that it has no circulation value. Pregnant women can help the body excrete metabolic waste in the urine through urination. If they often hold their urine, it may cause abnormal metabolism in the body, which is very bad for both themselves and the fetus.

Frequent urination during pregnancy cannot reduce the amount of water you drink every day

Some pregnant women feel that frequent urination during pregnancy is too annoying, so they deliberately reduce the amount of water they drink every day. Drinking less water will of course reduce the frequency of urination, but this behavior is not feasible. As the due date is approaching, many pregnant women will encounter the problem of "low amniotic fluid". Low amniotic fluid may cause fetal hypoxia, so it needs to be supplemented with a lot of drinking water. Therefore, the later the pregnancy is, the more pregnant women should not reduce the amount of water they drink every day.
