My mother's first day is brown and black

During menstruation, the endometrium is shed and discharged through the vagina. The discharged blood is generally called menstruation. Menstruation is a symbol of a perfect woman and a sign of the beginning of puberty. Menstrual blood is usually bright red or dark red. However, many women report that on the first day of their period, their menstrual discharge is dark brown in color. The following explains it to you.

Menstruation refers to the shedding of the endometrium, and the fallen endometrial tissue and blood are discharged from the vagina. The discharged blood is called menstruation. Women and some female mammals have regular menstruation during their growth period, and this cyclical period is called the physiological cycle. Under normal circumstances, women's menstrual bleeding is between 30ml and 80ml. The first menstruation of a woman is called menarche, which marks the beginning of puberty. Women do not have menstruation during pregnancy.

There will be menstruation during breastfeeding (so contraceptive measures need to be taken at this time), and the menstruation will stop after menopause. The gray-black color during menstruation is caused by qi stagnation and blood stasis, and the menstruation is deposited in the uterine cavity for a long time. The gray-black color will appear in the following situations:

1. Black menstruation due to deficiency of Qi and blood: Menstrual cycle is early or late, menstrual volume increases or decreases, menstruation lasts long, is light in color, and thin in texture. Or there is pain in the lower abdomen, or dizziness, or fatigue, pale or sallow complexion, poor appetite, and loose stools. The tongue is light red, and the pulse is deep and thin.

2. Cold blood causes black menstruation: delayed menstrual period, less blood, dark color with blood clots. Cold pain in the lower abdomen, relieved by heat, fear of cold and cold limbs. White tongue coating, deep and tight pulse. Treatment should be to promote qi and blood circulation.

3. Black menstruation due to kidney deficiency: irregular menstrual cycle, small amount, light red or dark red color, thin texture. Backache, weak legs, heel pain, tinnitus, dizziness, or cold lower abdomen, or frequent urination at night. Pale tongue, weak or slow pulse. Treatment should be to tonify the kidney and strengthen yang to regulate menstruation.

During the menstrual period, women's bodies are generally weaker, so try to avoid cold water, take a bath with warm water as much as possible, wash your hair quickly in the afternoon and dry it quickly to avoid catching a cold head, don't exercise excessively, stay up late less often, and maintain a healthy body.
