Why do I have stomach pains during late pregnancy?

The late pregnancy is the final stage of fetal development. In the second stage, women should be prepared for delivery at any time and pay special attention to their health. Once the signs of labor appear, you need to see a doctor immediately for delivery. So what is the reason for intermittent abdominal pain in late pregnancy? What are the signs before a pregnant woman gives birth?

Abdominal pain in late pregnancy

If it is in the late stage of pregnancy, it may generally be a sign of labor; if it is not yet in the late stage of pregnancy, the possible reasons are: one is threatened premature birth or threatened abortion; the second is gastrointestinal dysfunction, with intestinal cramps; the third is stretching of the cruciate ligaments around the uterus. My suggestion is that you should go to the hospital for a check-up before talking about it.

Pregnant women before delivery

1. Strong uterine contractions. The second child's labor contractions occur every 2 to 3 minutes, each lasting 30-40 seconds. In the late stages of pregnancy, pregnant mothers will feel their abdomen tightening and hardening from time to time no matter they stand up, squat, or walk. They may feel back pain or abdominal pain, which is often a manifestation of discomfort caused by uterine contractions. Before giving birth, pregnant women with their second child may feel an increase in the frequency of uterine contractions. If you find that the frequency of uterine contractions has become once every 10 minutes, you can go to the hospital for delivery.

2. Increased urinary urge. Pregnant women with two children will urinate frequently in the later stages of pregnancy. The fundamental reason is that the fetus's head extends into the pelvis, causing compression of the bladder and duodenum around the uterus, stimulating the urination sensation and increasing the urination sensation. Therefore, an increase in urinary sensation is a major sign of delivery for pregnant women with a second child.

3. The fundus of the uterus is reduced. In the first half month before the birth of the second child, the pregnant mother will experience a decrease in the fundus of the uterus. During this period, the baby's fetal movements are lower than before. Pregnant women may feel lower abdominal distension, back pain, leg pain, and increased vaginal discharge, which are mainly prenatal signs caused by the fetus entering the pelvis.

4. Seeing blood. Within 24 hours before delivery, most pregnant women will have bloody secretions in their vagina, commonly known as "seeing blood". The amount is usually less than the normal menstrual period. If it exceeds the menstrual amount, it is abnormal.

5. Broken amniotic fluid. Before a pregnant woman gives birth, due to increased uterine contractions, the pressure in the uterus increases, and the amniotic fluid in the amniotic sac is discharged, which is called "water rupture". After the amniotic fluid breaks, the pregnant woman will usually give birth soon. At this time, the pregnant mother should avoid standing or getting up to prevent the umbilical cord of the fetus from slipping off. She should lie flat first and go to the hospital for delivery as soon as possible with the company of her relatives.

The article explains in detail the reasons why pregnant women experience intermittent abdominal pain in the late stages of pregnancy, and also introduces in detail some of the signs of delivery in the late stages of pregnancy. As a woman, it is best to understand these signs before delivery, so that when these signs appear, you can immediately realize that you are about to give birth.
