With the improvement of living standards, the incidence of gestational diabetes is increasing year by year. The diet for gestational diabetes should formulate an appropriate total calorie intake based on the height, weight, and blood sugar level of the pregnant woman, while ensuring the nutrition of the fetus. Under the premise of fixed calories, try to choose green vegetables, vegetables, and whole grains that are low in calories and rich in dietary fiber.

However, you should also pay attention to the proper supplementation of protein and fat, such as milk, eggs, lean meat, etc., to achieve a balance of the three major nutrients. You should not be picky or partial in food, so as to avoid malnutrition and secondary ketosis in pregnant women and fetuses. If gestational diabetes is controlled through diet but blood sugar levels still cannot reach the standard, insulin treatment is needed.

It is recommended that the three meals a day diet for gestational diabetes can be divided into 1/3, 1/3, 1/3. First, confirm the daily amount of staple food, which is generally between six and eight taels, and distribute it among the three meals according to the requirement of 1/3. A certain amount of protein, vitamins, carbohydrates, and fiber should be consumed every day, and they should also be distributed evenly. Among the three meals, if blood sugar remains stable, you can add fruit ingredients between meals, but control the total amount, not too much. If it is an apple, only 1/4 at most. The premise is to monitor blood sugar changes.
