Brown menstrual period in the first month of pregnancy

Brown menstrual period in the first month of pregnancy

We can judge whether a woman is pregnant by her menstruation, because after pregnancy, women will not have menstruation. If you find that your menstruation has come and is brown in color one month after pregnancy, it is most likely caused by bleeding. It is best to go to the hospital for a check-up at this time to avoid threatened miscarriage. But if it is confirmed to be menstruation, then it is possible that the woman is not pregnant.

Brown menstrual discharge during the first month of pregnancy is not normal. There are generally the following possibilities:

First, ectopic pregnancy. Ectopic pregnancy usually causes vaginal bleeding about 40 days after amenorrhea, often accompanied by dull pain, bloating, and heaviness in the lower abdomen. At this time, a urine pregnancy test may be positive, while an ultrasound examination may not reveal the embryonic sac of pregnancy in the uterine cavity, and abnormal tumors may often be found in the fallopian tube.

Second, vaginal Trichomonas infection. This infection can easily cause an increase in vaginal discharge, accompanied by a foul odor, and itching of the genitals. It is generally believed that this infection is a type of sexually transmitted disease, which can easily be transmitted between partners. During treatment, the sexual partners must be treated at the same time to prevent cross-infection and achieve a complete cure.

Third, it may be threatened miscarriage. Generally, during the threatened abortion stage, vaginal bleeding is less and abdominal pain is mild. If there is no abnormality in the fetal development, the bleeding will stop after pregnancy preservation treatment and the pregnancy can continue.

Generally speaking, amenorrhea is the most common sign of pregnancy, but not all pregnancies end in amenorrhea. After some women become pregnant, the levels of sex hormones, especially progesterone, secreted by their ovaries are relatively low, causing a small part of the endometrium to continue to shed. Therefore, these women will still have menstruation after pregnancy, but the amount of menstruation will be much less than normal. It is not until three months of pregnancy that the placenta is formed, which keeps the estrogen and progesterone levels in the woman's body at a relatively high level. At this time, the endometrium no longer sheds and menstruation no longer occurs.
