What are the early symptoms of tuberculosis in women?

We all know that tuberculosis is highly contagious. After contracting tuberculosis, symptomatic treatment is needed and isolation from family members is required. Tuberculosis can occur in men as well as women. Generally, before the onset of the disease, the body will show some symptoms. We can judge whether we are infected with tuberculosis based on the physical symptoms. The following introduces the early symptoms of tuberculosis in women.

1. The early symptoms of pulmonary tuberculosis in women are: general discomfort, fever, fatigue, easy fatigue, irritability, poor appetite, weight loss over time, and sometimes irregular menstruation for females.

2. Fever is one of the common symptoms of many diseases. Tuberculosis is no exception.

3. Night sweats. The so-called night sweats means that the patient sweats all over the body when falling asleep or waking up. It usually occurs in children with weak constitutions (sometimes normal children may also have this phenomenon). Patients with more serious lung diseases are more likely to experience night sweats. In severe cases, clothes and quilts can be soaked, and patients feel extremely tired and weak.

How to prevent tuberculosis?

1. Develop good hygiene habits: lead a regular life, insist on physical exercise, eat a balanced diet, and enhance the body's resistance; cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing, and do not spit anywhere; wash your hands and dry your bedding frequently, strengthen ventilation in classrooms, dormitories, libraries and other places where people gather, and maintain indoor air circulation.

2. Detect patients early: If you find that you have continuous coughing and sputum for more than 3 weeks or you have hemoptysis, you should seek medical attention in time for early detection and early treatment.

3. Schools: Ensure the per capita area for students’ study and living according to the ventilation and hygiene standards for primary and secondary school classrooms. We must effectively implement the morning check-up, registration and tracking system for absences due to illness, and strengthen the early detection of cases and the management and disposal of sporadic cases. Through health education classes, theme class meetings, brochures, blackboard newspapers and other forms, the core knowledge of tuberculosis prevention and control is widely publicized to students and faculty and staff, and health education is carried out.
