How to read m and f on the four-dimensional list

Pregnant women need to undergo many examinations during the second trimester. Many of these examinations are to understand the development of the fetus and to see if there are any defects, deformities, or other problems in the fetus's physical development. Many people say that the gender of the fetus can be seen from the four-dimensional report during pregnancy. How do you see m and f on the four-dimensional report? Below I will explain in detail where M and F are on the thinking list and whether they can distinguish the sex of the fetus.

1. Where are m and f on the 4D color Doppler ultrasound?

It is said that M is for boy and F is for girl, that is, male and female. To be more precise, it can also be seen from the data of ordinary color ultrasound. The number obtained by subtracting the femur length data from the biparietal diameter is greater than 2.1, then it is a boy, otherwise it is a girl. The accuracy rate is as high as 90%. The people around me can judge the boy or girl based on this data very accurately.

Compared with other ultrasound examinations, four-dimensional ultrasound can observe the dynamic movement of internal organs in real time and can accurately determine the gender of the fetus. Although four-dimensional color ultrasound can clearly show the gender of the fetus, during the examination, in order to avoid revealing the gender of the fetus, the doctor will actively avoid the gender characteristics and lower body of the fetus. At the same time, when making the CD in the later stage, the parts that may reveal the gender of the fetus will also be processed.

Generally speaking, it is not allowed to determine the gender of the baby using four-dimensional color ultrasound. Although it is feasible to determine the sex of the fetus through four-dimensional color ultrasound, the state has clearly stipulated that it is illegal to identify the sex of the fetus for non-medical purposes. No organization or individual may conduct fetal sex identification for non-medical needs, and it is strictly prohibited to use technical means to identify the sex of the fetus. Regardless of whether the baby in the belly is a boy or a girl, he is the fruit of the love between husband and wife. Prospective parents should be more concerned about whether the fetus is healthy and develops normally, rather than caring about the gender.

2. How to read the 4D color Doppler ultrasound report:

1. Look at the fetal head. Check the four-dimensional color ultrasound report to see whether the outline of the fetal head is complete. If it is defective or deformed, it is abnormal. No midline shift and no hydrocephalus are normal. The measurement of the biparietal diameter of the fetal head is an indicator for estimating gestational age and fetal maturity. From the 26th to the 36th week of pregnancy, the biparietal diameter increases by an average of 0.22 cm per week. After thirty-six weeks of pregnancy, the rate of increase in the biparietal diameter gradually slows down, increasing by only 0.1 cm per week. The biparietal diameter of a full-term fetus is between eight and ten centimeters. Biparietal diameter can also predict fetal weight. If the biparietal diameter reaches 8.5 cm or more, the fetal weight exceeds 2,500 grams. Experts point out that if the biparietal diameter is between 9.1 and 10 cm, the weight of the newborn is between 3,276 and 3,925 grams. If the biparietal diameter is greater than 10 cm, the weight of the newborn is over 4 kg.

2. Check the fetal heart rate. If the fetal heart rate is strong, it is normal. If it is weak, there are two possibilities: one is that the fetus is sleeping, and the other is an abnormal situation. The normal fetal heart rate is 120 to 160 beats per minute.

3. Check the umbilical cord. Under normal circumstances, the umbilical cord should float in the amniotic fluid. If the umbilical cord image is seen on the fetal neck, the umbilical cord may be wrapped around the neck.

4. Look at the length of the femur. It refers to the length of the fetus's thigh bone. Its normal value should be less than twenty to thirty millimeters different from the biparietal diameter value of the corresponding pregnancy month.
