What causes fungal vaginitis?

Candidiasis vaginitis is a common gynecological disease. This gynecological disease is mainly caused by women's lack of attention to vaginal hygiene and unhygienic sexual life. Women need to pay attention to vaginal care in daily life. Candidal vaginitis needs to be treated with antibiotics, and you need to eat some vegetables and fruits, but not spicy food, and you cannot have sex if you have candidal vaginitis.

Symptoms of fungal vaginitis

Through routine examination of leucorrhea, it is possible to diagnose whether you have candidal vaginitis. Candidal vaginitis, also known as Candida albicans vaginitis, is an inflammation caused by Candida infection. Most patients with candidal vaginitis are women. Patients with diabetes and those who use antibiotics or hormones for a long time are also prone to candidal vaginitis. The symptoms of vaginal candidiasis are as follows:

The symptoms of most patients are mainly manifested as abnormal leucorrhea, increased leucorrhea secretion, tofu-dreg-like appearance, painful urination, redness, swelling, itching and burning sensation of the vulva and vagina. Vulvar itching mostly occurs on the labia minora and clitoris, and sometimes extends to the perineum, perianal area and other areas. Epidermal changes vary from person to person: shallow vesicular papules may appear in groups; eczematous erosions may also occur, similar to acute or subacute eczema, occurring on the vulva or extending to the perineum, anus, and even the inner thighs; very few patients will develop tiny white pustules, and in severe cases, ulcers, vulvar pain, and local lymphadenopathy may occur.

The main symptom of candidal vaginitis is vulvar itching, so when the vulva itches and the leucorrhea is abnormal, you need to pay attention to it, determine whether it is candidal vaginitis and treat it before the disease becomes serious.

What causes fungal vaginitis?

When the human body's immunity is low, Candida albicans may take the opportunity to multiply abnormally. When it multiplies to a certain number, it will cause disease and become candidal vaginitis. The following situations are more likely to cause fungal vaginitis:

1. Abuse of antibiotics: Improper use of antibiotics can cause fungal vaginitis. While antibiotics kill pathogenic bacteria, they also kill some beneficial bacteria, so mold takes the opportunity to multiply in large numbers.

2. Excessive cleaning: Frequent cleaning will cause the acid-base balance in the vaginal environment to be disturbed, destroying the vagina's antibacterial ability, thereby promoting fungal invasion and causing illness.

3. Infection: Fungi in the reproductive tract can cause direct infection through sexual intercourse.

4. Bad living habits: Wearing tight, non-breathable pants will make the vulva damp and hot, causing inflammation.

5. Moldy underwear: In humid weather, clothes tend to not dry and become moldy. Wearing such underwear will cause infection of the vulva and cause candidal vaginitis.

6. Unhealthy diet: Spicy food will aggravate the condition. You should also eat less high-sugar food. Sugar will promote the reproduction of Candida albicans. Diabetics need to pay special attention to this because they are more susceptible to candidal vaginitis.

What medicine is used for fungal vaginitis

The main symptom of candidal vaginitis is itching, and candidal vaginitis is also contagious, so it needs timely treatment. Candidal vaginitis is a common gynecological disease and can be treated with medication at your discretion.

1. Dingke terbinafine hydrochloride spray. Can be used to spray underwear for disinfection.

2. Nystatin tablets. Oral administration, if there is no obvious effect within one week, the drug should be discontinued. Use the Chinese medicine product Fujingdan instead. Before use, wash your lower body with salt water, then place the medicine deep into the vagina and put on a sanitary pad. Use 2-3 courses of treatment.

3. Once a night, rinse the vulva with 2-3% soda water, then insert the clotrimazole suppository or nystatin tablet into the vagina. If the condition is serious, you can take 150 mg of fluconazole orally at the same time. Sexual intercourse is prohibited during treatment. After one course of treatment, if the fungal test is negative and the fungal test is negative after each menstrual cycle thereafter, it means that the treatment is complete.

4. It is usually treated with topical medications such as clotrimazole. In addition to vaginal medications, complicated fungal vaginitis should also be treated with oral preparations such as clotrimazole.

It should be noted that the above-mentioned drugs need to be used under the guidance of a doctor. Patients cannot use them casually on their own, otherwise not only will the disease fail to be cured, but it may also worsen the condition.

How to treat fungal vaginitis

Fungal vaginitis is prone to recurrence. In order to cure it, we should start from the root cause. In addition to taking medication, we should also pay more attention to hygiene. While treating the symptoms, we should also pay attention to treating the root cause, starting from eliminating the factors that cause fungal vaginitis.

1. Pay attention to hygiene and maintain good living habits. Underwear, shoes and socks should be washed separately from clothes and then exposed to the sun to eliminate germs. During treatment, underwear should be changed daily.

2. Wear loose clothes, pay attention to your diet, avoid spicy food and sugar.

3. Exercise more and drink more yogurt to enhance immunity.

4. Both husband and wife should receive treatment at the same time and take medication under the guidance of a doctor.

5. Follow the doctor's advice and take medication carefully. The disease cannot be completely cured, and a major reason for its recurrence is the failure to take medication seriously.

6. Regular check-ups are still required after treatment. You need to go to the hospital for a checkup after each menstruation, for a gynecological examination and vaginal secretion test, for three consecutive times. The disease can be considered cured only if no Candida infection is found.
