Ovulation pain means ovulation or not

Ovulation pain means ovulation or not

Ovulation pain is a normal physiological phenomenon, which is determined by the size of the follicle. When the follicle matures, it will form an egg. When the egg is released, it will stimulate the pelvic cavity, causing vaginal pain and abdominal pain. It usually lasts for one or two days. Women just need to pay more attention to rest. Ovulation pain does occur, but there will be no pain if there is no ovulation. Ovulation is also accompanied by many complications.

Does ovulation pain mean that ovulation has occurred or not?

During the ovulation period, a woman's follicles will gradually develop and grow. When the diameter of the follicles reaches about 18-25 mm, the follicles will rupture due to the increase in internal and external hydraulic pressure, and the eggs in the ovaries will be discharged. In fact, ovulation pain is a very common physiological phenomenon. It is mainly because during the rupture of the follicle, part of the follicular fluid will flow into the pelvic cavity, which may stimulate the pelvic cavity and cause mild or severe pain. Generally speaking, it will slowly ease in about half a day to a day. As for the question of whether ovulation pain is caused by ovulation or not, it is obvious that women will experience pain and discomfort only after the follicle ruptures and ovulation occurs.

Besides ovulation pain, what other symptoms are there during ovulation?

(1) Increased vaginal discharge

After the ovulation period arrives, women's vaginal secretions will gradually increase, mainly appearing as a slightly acidic viscous substance. Under normal circumstances, it has no special smell and appears as transparent as egg white.

(2) Bleeding

Due to the rapid drop in estrogen levels, some women's endometrium will experience partial shedding due to loss of hormonal support. This condition is called ovulation bleeding. Generally speaking, the amount of ovulation bleeding is relatively small, and it will disappear after about 2-3 days. No special treatment is required.

In addition, female friends will experience many phenomena during ovulation, such as decreased resistance, increased basal body temperature, decreased appetite, and increased sexual desire.

The above is the introduction about whether ovulation pain means that the ovulation has occurred or not. Obviously, analyzing from the causes of ovulation pain, women will only experience pain after ovulation. Therefore, after the ovulation pain, women who are preparing for pregnancy can arrange sexual intercourse reasonably. I believe that this can greatly increase the chance of conception.

The difference between ovulation pain and implantation pain

This is actually something that cannot be felt. Generally, when ovulating, the leucorrhea will increase and may even become stringy, which means that ovulation has occurred and you can have sex. If this happens during implantation, there will be some needle-like pain in the lower abdomen. The pain during ovulation and implantation is generally not very obvious. It is still necessary to monitor whether you are pregnant.

How to calculate ovulation period

1. Generally, the ovulation period of women with normal menstruation is 14 days before the next menstruation. It can be calculated by pushing the date before the next menstruation forward 14 days. The ovulation day and the 5 days before and 4 days after it are called the ovulation period. Here is an example. A woman's menstrual cycle is 28 days. The first day of this menstruation is December 2nd and the menstruation is on December 30th, so December 16th is the ovulation day. The ovulation day and the 5 days before and 4 days after, which is December 11-20, is the ovulation period. I believe everyone will be clearer now.

2. Of course, the above method is only for women with normal menstruation. If your menstruation is irregular, don't worry. There is another method for you. The formula for calculating the ovulation period is: the first day of ovulation = the number of days in the shortest menstrual cycle minus 18 days;

The last day of ovulation = the longest menstrual cycle minus 11 days.

If a pregnant woman cannot distinguish whether the pain is caused by ovulation or by the implantation of the fertilized egg, she can calculate her ovulation period using the method described above. Implantation pain will only occur seven days after ovulation. Of course, the most effective way to detect whether you are pregnant is to rely on a pregnancy test tool.
