Mild erosive changes in the cervix

Mild erosive changes in the cervix

When suffering from gynecological diseases, the symptoms are mainly manifested as itching of the lower body and abnormal leucorrhea. Cervical erosion is a common gynecological disease. It is relatively easy to cure in the early stage. It only requires special washing solution and attention to the cleanliness and hygiene of the private parts. It will be relieved after a period of time. However, if left untreated, it is very likely to cause inflammation of the female cervix, thereby affecting the female reproductive function.

Cervical erosion-like changes are what we used to call cervical erosion. It is the proliferation of columnar epithelium in the cervical canal under the action of estrogen, covering the squamous epithelium of the cervix. It looks like erosion to the naked eye and is a physiological phenomenon. CINI is a low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion, which is usually called a precancerous lesion. In most people, it will transform into normal tissue, but about 15% will develop into cervical cancer after 10-15 years. Recheck every 4-6 months. Contact bleeding and odor indicate inflammation and should be treated promptly.

Cervical erosion is a very common chronic cervical inflammation. Some patients have raised this question: If cervical erosion is not treated, will the entire cervix rot? In fact, cervical erosion is not true erosion. It is because after suffering from chronic cervicitis, the inflammation in the deep tissue of the cervix is not easy to eliminate, the squamous epithelium on the surface of the cervix falls off due to nutritional disorders, and the peeling surface is gradually covered by columnar epithelium derived from cervical hyperplasia. Because the columnar epithelium is very thin, the underlying blood vessels and red stroma can be seen, making the erosion surface red and having a clear boundary with the surrounding normal squamous epithelium.

Clinically, the erosion is divided into three degrees: mild, moderate and severe according to the size of the erosion surface. Cervical erosion can be divided into three types based on its manifestations: simple erosion is more common in the early stage of inflammation, the erosion surface is covered by a single layer of columnar epithelium, and the epidermis is relatively flat and smooth; if the inflammation continues, the cervical epithelium will over-proliferate, the erosion surface will be uneven, and the appearance will be granular, which is granular erosion; if the glandular epithelium and interstitial hyperplasia are significant, the unevenness will be more obvious, and it will be papillary, which is papillary erosion. These three types can exist independently or coexist in an interlaced manner.

Mild cervical erosion generally does not cause any discomfort symptoms, and may only cause increased vaginal discharge, which can be easily overlooked. Normal leucorrhea should be transparent, but cervical erosion will increase the amount of leucorrhea, which is mostly light yellow or milky white in color, feels sticky and thick, and sometimes may be mixed with blood. Increased vaginal discharge can affect the vaginal environment, causing vaginal inflammation and itching. The main symptom of moderate cervical erosion is increased vaginal secretions, which are milky white mucus or light yellow purulent fluid. When accompanied by cervical polyps, there is prone to bloody vaginal discharge or bleeding after sexual intercourse. In addition to the above symptoms, severe cervical erosion can also cause pain in the lower abdomen or lumbosacral region, accompanied by a feeling of falling.

In this case, you need to go to the hospital and cooperate with the doctor for treatment. The treatment methods include conservative medication and vaginal suppository treatment. You must first clean the vagina and then insert the suppository. More serious cervical erosion requires surgical treatment. Common surgical methods include leep knife therapy and microwave therapy. The specific treatment method to be adopted requires the doctor to decide based on the patient's symptoms, marital status, personal constitution and other specific personal conditions.

To protect the health of the uterus, you need to start from daily life. Paying more attention to personal hygiene and hygiene during intercourse can effectively prevent the occurrence of cervical erosion. If it is just false cervical erosion, it is a normal physiological phenomenon. If you meet the above conditions, you need to see a doctor in time and cooperate with the doctor to take reasonable treatment methods. Symptomatic treatment will recover soon.
