Pain in the buttocks during late pregnancy

Pain in the buttocks during late pregnancy

The late stage of pregnancy is also a very critical period, so pregnant women must pay close attention to various changes in their bodies at this time. If there is any abnormality, they should inform the doctor in time. Many pregnant women will feel obvious pain in the bones on both sides of their buttocks in the late pregnancy, which makes them feel uneasy. So what is the reason for the pain in the bones on both sides of the buttocks in the late pregnancy?

We all know that after a woman becomes pregnant, the fetus begins to take shape slowly after 12 weeks of pregnancy. And as the gestational age increases, the fetus will gradually grow. In the eyes of many people, it seems that the only change in a pregnant woman is that her belly gradually gets bigger. In fact, there are many changes in a woman's body after pregnancy. For example, breast swelling, chest pain, darkening of nipples, darkening of armpits, widening of pelvis, etc., some of these post-pregnancy reactions are irreversible. For example, if the pelvis becomes wider, even after giving birth, it is impossible to return to its pre-birth state.

So is it normal to have pain in the left buttock bone in the late pregnancy? Many pregnant women are first-time mothers and this is their first pregnancy, so many of them do not know common sense. In fact, the fetus grows day by day in the pregnant woman's belly, and no matter how big the pregnant woman's belly gets, it is limited. In addition to the fetus, there is also amniotic fluid in the pregnant woman's belly. In other words, the fetus's movement space in the pregnant woman's belly is actually very limited.

The correct fetal position is when the fetus is head down. If the fetus is head down, the head may be on the left or on the right. In fact, no matter which side the head is in, the fetal position is normal. However, the correct position of the fetus will not be fixed until the late pregnancy, and the pregnant woman will have a deep understanding of it. In the late pregnancy, due to the fetal position, pregnant women will feel unprecedented pain. For example, if a pregnant woman feels pain in the left buttock bone in the late pregnancy, it is very likely that the fetus's head is pressing on the left buttock bone, causing the pregnant woman's buttock bone pain.

Of course, there may be other reasons, but this reason is more likely. In fact, we can use B-ultrasound to see the fetal position, so as to verify whether our inference is correct. Generally speaking, pregnancy is considered to be in the late stage when it is more than 32 weeks, and the fetal position will be fixed after 32 weeks of pregnancy. In other words, the fetal position shown by ultrasound in the late stage of pregnancy will basically not change. If the fetus is head down and facing the left hand side, then it is normal for the pregnant woman to have pain in the left buttock bone.

Therefore, it is normal to have pain in the left buttock bone in the late pregnancy. This is a symptom of pregnancy. Of course, not all pregnant women will have this symptom. After all, the fetal position varies from person to person. Even if the same person is pregnant, the fetal position will be different for different fetuses, which will lead to different pregnancy symptoms for pregnant women. Generally speaking, if the fetus is head down and facing left, the pregnant woman will feel discomfort and pain in the left buttock bone in the late pregnancy.
