What tests do you need to do when you are pregnant?

When we are pregnant, we should go to nearby hospitals and health centers for ultrasound examinations as soon as possible. In the early stages of pregnancy, menstruation will stop, and the reproductive organs and breasts will change. What examinations should be done when you are pregnant? First, a blood HCG test should be done. This test is considered the earliest and most accurate detection method. It can also be tested by B-ultrasound detection, but you must find a regular hospital to do detailed testing.

1. Several methods of detecting pregnancy

Urine pregnancy test, also known as early pregnancy test, determines whether pregnancy is present by detecting whether the urine contains a certain amount of human chorionic gonadotropin. Normal non-pregnant women are negative, while pregnant women are positive. Generally, a urine pregnancy test will be positive 35 days after menstruation. The HCG blood test is currently the earliest and most accurate way to test whether a woman is pregnant. The HCG blood test is usually performed 8-10 days after sexual intercourse to determine whether a woman is pregnant by drawing blood to test for HCG. B-mode ultrasound imaging: In the outline of the enlarged uterus, a circular halo from the amniotic sac is seen, and the pregnancy ring is a liquid dark area. The first time the pregnancy ring is seen is at 5 weeks of pregnancy. If rhythmic fetal heartbeat and fetal movement are seen in the pregnancy ring, it can be confirmed as an early pregnancy with a live fetus.

2. Things to note when testing for pregnancy

Pay attention to the menstruation. If the menstruation does not come when it should, and it has not come for more than 7-10 days, you should consider pregnancy. It is recommended to do an early pregnancy test. Instead of calculating it based on the time of intercourse, clinically it is usually calculated from the last menstrual period. If there are 2 red lines in the test, it means positive, indicating the possibility of pregnancy. However, you can also go to the hospital for a blood hcg test 7 days after intercourse. If the test is negative or not obvious, you need to repeat the early pregnancy test again after 7 days. Morning urine test is best.

3. Precautions during pregnancy

It is recommended to pay attention to balanced nutrition during pregnancy, eat more vegetables and fruits, and ensure adequate intake of nutrients such as protein. You can appropriately supplement some vitamins and minerals, which is beneficial to the health of the fetus and mother. Another point is to pay attention to health care during pregnancy, get more rest and do appropriate activities. And go to a regular hospital for regular prenatal check-ups.
