How do you know if your fallopian tubes are blocked?

I believe that most women are aware of the problem of fallopian tube blockage, because many women find that they cannot get pregnant when they are preparing for pregnancy, and when they go to the hospital for a check-up, they are diagnosed with fallopian tube blockage. In fact, after the fallopian tube is blocked, the patient's body will also show many symptoms. So how should a woman know if her fallopian tubes are blocked?

If you don't get pregnant after one year of contraception, you should have your fallopian tubes checked. There are three ways to check the fallopian tubes: hydrosalpingography, salpingography, and combined hysteroscopy and laparoscopy. However, the most accurate method is combined hysteroscopy and laparoscopy, which is to perform hydrosalpingography under hysteroscopy. If you see fluid flowing out of both fallopian tubes under laparoscopy, they are unobstructed. If no fluid flows out, they are blocked. This method is the most accurate.

Sometimes when doing salpingography, a small amount of endometrium may be blocked due to mucus blockage, which may cause differences in the salpingography. However, this difference can be cleared by flushing out these substances with liquid, so it is not very accurate. It is best to do a combined hysteroscopy and laparoscopy examination.

Symptoms of blocked fallopian tubes:

1. Pain. It can cause lower abdominal pain, dull pain and back pain in female friends. Pain symptoms will occur during menstruation, accompanied by increased menstrual flow, prolonged menstrual period and other symptoms;

2. Irregular menstruation. Since the fallopian tubes of female friends are adjacent to the ovaries, the disease will spread to the ovaries, and then there will be symptoms of irregular menstruation such as frequent menstruation and excessive menstrual flow;

3. Infertility. When the fallopian tubes are blocked, it can also cause female infertility. To determine whether the fallopian tubes are blocked, you can usually choose hysterosalpingography or fallopian tube permeability test. Angiography is relatively the most reliable. It is very painful, but acceptable.
