What are the signs two days before delivery?

For pregnant mothers who are having their second child, since they have had experience giving birth once, they will not be too nervous when the due date approaches. However, for women who are pregnant for the first time, they have no experience giving birth and will often be nervous when the due date approaches. Some people are even particularly fearful, worrying that they will not know when the baby is born. In fact, before the baby is born, the pregnant mother's body will show some signs.

Signs of childbirth two days before delivery

1. The baby is "sinking"

If this is your first pregnancy, you may experience a "fetal drop" feeling in the first few days before labor begins. At this point, you will feel an increased pressure in your pelvic area and notice that the pressure below your rib cage has eased, allowing you to breathe more easily.

2. Increased uterine contractions

When asked about the signs of childbirth, many people would mention uterine contractions. Indeed, in the few days before delivery, your uterine contractions will be more frequent and stronger, and some mothers may even experience cramps similar to menstruation. As delivery approaches, contractions will occur every 10-20 minutes, making you feel like you are about to give birth. However, unless the contractions are very frequent, happening every 5 minutes, or are very painful, there is no need to go to the hospital.

3. Bloody sight

As labor approaches, your cervix begins to dilate, and you'll release small amounts of thick mucus, which may come out all at once in a lump or as increased vaginal discharge over the next few days. This mucus may contain blood, so it is called bloody show. Even if you are not going to give birth within a few days, you can still go to the hospital for treatment just in case.

4. Water rupture

Amniotic fluid is the fluid that surrounds the fetus. Once the amniotic fluid breaks, whether it is a large amount of gushing out or a small amount of seepage, you need to seek medical attention immediately. Because the breaking of amniotic fluid means that labor will begin soon, no matter where you are at this time, you must call an ambulance immediately.

5. Regular cramps or back pain

This condition is caused by the alternating contractions and relaxations of the uterus, with the contractions becoming more intense as labor approaches. In fact, pain is inevitable due to the expansion of the cervix and the delivery of the fetus from the reproductive tract. It is important to note that this is considered a sign of labor the day before, especially when it occurs at the beginning of labor.
