What gynecological diseases can cause backache?

Gynecological diseases are common diseases among women. After marriage, women will bring bacteria into the vagina or uterus during sexual intercourse. The waste left over from menstruation will remain in the uterus. The residual substances after giving birth and the bacteria that enter the body will cause vaginitis, cervicitis and other gynecological diseases. The symptoms of gynecological diseases are mainly manifested in leucorrhea. Some gynecological diseases can also cause low back pain. Let's take a look at what gynecological diseases can cause low back pain?

Pelvic inflammatory disease

Pelvic inflammatory disease is an inflammation that occurs in the pelvic cavity. When it occurs, such as chronic adnexitis, pelvic peritonitis, inflammation of the uterosacral ligament or connective tissue, patients often experience low back pain due to the inflammatory stimulation. When the cervix becomes inflamed, the stimulation of the inflammation causes lower back pain, as well as increased vaginal discharge, local itching, and tingling.

Abnormal position of the uterus

The uterus normally bends forward. If it bends backward, the ligaments will be over-pulled and some nerves will be compressed, which can cause low back pain. For example, when the uterus prolapses, the uterus shifts downward along the vagina. Due to the weakness and reduced tension of the pelvic supporting tissue, the abdominal pressure increases, causing a feeling of falling and lower back pain due to traction.

Pelvic tumors

If there is a tumor in the pelvic cavity, such as uterine fibroids, cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, or ovarian tumor, low back pain may occur when the tumor compresses the nerves or cancer cells infiltrate the pelvic connective tissue, and the pain will intensify as the tumor grows.

Pregnancy Disorders

After a woman becomes pregnant, as the fetus grows month by month, the support force of the waist continues to increase. Long-term mechanical action will cause the ligaments to gradually relax, and the expanded uterine cavity will compress the pelvic nerves and blood vessels, which can also cause low back pain.

Fertility Factors

If a woman gives birth to too many children, has too many abortions, or has uncontrolled or frequent sexual life, it may cause kidney deficiency, which in turn may induce low back pain.

Postpartum fatigue

Excessive postpartum bleeding, premature labor, excessive fatigue, and cold can also cause low back pain.
