All female friends will experience menopause when they reach a certain age. After menopause, female friends basically lose the ability to reproduce. However, the time of menopause is different for each person, which depends on each person's physical condition. Many female friends experience menopause relatively late, but most of them experience menopause when menopause comes. Generally speaking, female friends will feel particularly uncomfortable at the beginning.

A new definition of perimenopause was also proposed at the conference on "Advances in Menopause Research in the 1990s" to replace the term "menopause." "Perimenopause" can be as short as 2 to 3 years, or as long as 8 to 12 years. Most women have a vague memory of when menopause begins. When surveyed, most can only say when they reached menopause, and often cannot remember when they began to feel uncomfortable or when the symptoms disappeared. However, not having menopause does not mean not having entered menopause.

Some scholars have suggested that in order to prevent the impact of menopause from being ignored and to avoid seeking medical treatment when the situation becomes difficult to deal with, medical personnel and women's health workers need to provide publicity, education and consultation for women over 40 years old, popularize self-protection knowledge of menopause, and enable them to know when and from whom to seek treatment.

The whole society should provide assistance by developing some feasible screening clinics or establishing institutions to provide early diagnosis and treatment of menopausal syndrome for women over 40 years old. Waiting until after menopause to start taking health care measures is too late for many people.

From a health perspective, some symptoms of menopause are not a big deal. Even more important are the long-term health effects after menopause. Today, women have at least 30 years to live after menopause. These 30 years can be very healthy, happy and enjoyable. However, due to the significant decrease in estrogen levels in the body, the risk of two health-threatening diseases increases significantly. One of them is heart disease. Before menopause, few women die from heart disease. After menopause, the number of women dying from heart disease begins to increase. By age 75, men and women are about the same risk of developing heart disease.

At age 65, about the same number of women die from heart disease as from cancer, and by age 75, heart disease is the leading killer of women. Another major health threat after menopause is osteoporosis. Osteoporosis can cause fractures, seriously affecting women's quality of life in their later years. Women's bone density is not as high as men's from birth, and the rate of bone loss after menopause is faster than that of men. This is why many women develop osteoporosis after age 65. Therefore, it is important that women recognize these risks and begin prevention before menopause. Good health habits are the best way to prevent heart disease and osteoporosis.

The incidence of some diseases among female friends will increase after menopause. The incidence of heart disease will increase day by day. Then many female friends will suffer from heart disease, especially in their forties and fifties. It is best to go to the hospital regularly for detailed physical examinations during menopause to ensure that there is no lesion in your body. Even if a lesion occurs, it can be treated early.
