What does leucorrhea mean?

If women do not pay attention to their living habits and lead a chaotic life when they reach the age of 20, they will develop gynecological diseases. Trichomonas leucorrhea, which causes abnormal leucorrhea and cervical erosion, is a common pathogen. It is caused by tiny protozoan organisms that live in the uterus and pose a serious risk to a woman's health. This type of Trichomonas is very difficult to remove. It has strong vitality and a long treatment period. Here I will give you a detailed introduction to what Trichomonas leucorrhea means.

Trichomonas is a very tiny protozoan with flagella that cannot be seen with the naked eye and needs to be observed under a microscope. Trichomonas infection is usually transmitted through sexual intercourse. There are many women suffering from trichomoniasis, and it is not new for women to suffer from trichomoniasis.

Trichomonas vaginalis is a sexually transmitted disease caused by Trichomonas (leucorrhea) and is most common in the age group of 35 to 50 years old.

When a woman is infected with Trichomonas, her vagina will produce yellow-green foamy or rice bran-like discharge with a foul odor (commonly known as leucorrhea). Sometimes there will be symptoms of vulvar itching or mild pain in the lower abdomen. In severe cases, it will cause swelling, redness, and congestion of the vaginal mucosa, resulting in extreme vaginal itching.

A small number of male patients may have urethral discharge, occasional mild itching, lower back pain and other symptoms, but most male patients infected with Trichomonas do not have very obvious symptoms, so men often become carriers of Trichomonas vaginalis.

Trichomonas vaginitis is a common vaginitis caused by Trichomonas vaginalis. Trichomonas is pear-shaped with a pointed rear end and is about 2 to 3 times the size of a multinucleated leukocyte. There are four flagella at the top of the insect body, a wavy membrane on the body, and an axial column protruding at the rear end. The living Trichomonas is transparent and colorless, in the shape of a water droplet, and the flagella swing with the fluctuation of the oscillating membrane. The life cycle of Trichomonas is simple, with only trophozoites but no cyst stage. The trophozoites have strong vitality and can survive for 2 days at 3-5℃; 20-60 minutes at 46℃; and about 10 hours in a semi-dry environment.

It can also survive in ordinary soapy water for 45 to 120 minutes. It will not grow in an environment with a Ph value below 5 or above 7.5. The vaginal Ph value of patients with Trichomonas vaginitis is generally 5.1-5.4. Trichomonas hidden in the glands and vaginal folds can often reproduce before and after menstruation, causing inflammation. It can consume or engulf the glycogen in the vaginal epithelial cells and hinder the production of lactic acid. Trichomonas not only parasitizes the vagina. It also often invades the urethra or paraurethral glands, and even the bladder, renal pelvis, and foreskin folds, urethra or prostate in men. You should go to the hospital for examination in time.
