Yellow-green discharge on underwear

Yellow-green discharge on underwear

Normal people usually secrete a small amount of secretions to keep the private parts and vagina moist. Abnormal leucorrhea means that the leucorrhea has an odor or changes in color, quality, and taste. It is a common signal of various gynecological diseases and should cause special attention. The presence of light green secretions on underwear is also an abnormal phenomenon. What is the reason?

The vagina and cervix of normal women also produce secretions, which we call discharge. After this secretion is discharged, it dries on the underwear and appears light yellow or light green. As long as there are no special symptoms, no vulvar itching or vulvar burning, and the discharge has no special odor or fishy smell, it is normal. Just keep the vulva clean and dry, wash the vulva and change your underwear every day. If the discharge has a special fishy smell, or there are symptoms such as vulvar itching and private discomfort, you should go to the gynecology department for medical treatment to see if there is any abnormality or infection with special pathogens, and treat the cause of the disease.

Light green discharge in underwear and abnormal vaginal discharge may be related to the following:

1. Many application cleaning fluids

If women frequently wash their vagina, especially with lotion, the number of Lactobacillus will decrease, which will destroy the diversity of female vaginal microorganisms and cause intestinal flora imbalance. Because the woman's vagina has a self-cleaning function, the squamous epithelial cells of the woman's vagina are rich in glycogen, and a bacteria called vaginal Lactobacillus lives in the vagina of normal women, which can break down this glycogen into monosaccharides and then convert it into lactic acid bacteria, making the woman's vaginal environment acidic, with a pH value maintained at 4-5. Those pathogens that grow in an alkaline environment will therefore be inhibited. This is the nitrogen cycle in the vagina.

2. Long-term use of sanitary pads

Long-term use of sanitary pads has poor ventilation effect, because the secretions are more, the vulva is often kept in a damp and cold condition, which has a certain irritation to some skin. It destroys the balance of the vagina and easily leads to infection.

3. Not paying attention to hygiene and not changing underwear frequently

Women should change their underwear once a day, pay attention to their hygiene, and it is best to put the changed underwear in the sun to cool. If the abnormal leucorrhea is not treated promptly and fundamentally, serious complications may occur, such as pelvic inflammatory disease, endometritis and other gynecological inflammations. In severe cases, incurable diseases such as vaginal cancer, uterine cancer and cervical cancer may occur. Many middle-aged women who suffer from cancer do so because they did not pay enough attention to abnormal leucorrhea when they were young. In addition, if the secretion is too little for a long time, the vagina's own defense function will be weakened, and women are more likely to be infected with vaginitis.
