Reasons why women's hair grows slowly

Hair growth is mainly controlled by hormones. Modern people lose no less than 50 hairs every day, not including the hair lost due to washing. For modern women, there are several reasons why hair grows slowly. One is that they do not consume enough nutrients on a daily basis. Another is that women basically use hair bands, which damages the scalp and causes problems with hair growth.

Hair growth has a certain cycle, which can be divided into three stages: growth phase, regression phase and resting phase. During the growth period, the hair follicles are active, the cells at the bottom of the hair bulb divide vigorously, and the resulting cells continuously move upward to supply the hair body and inner root sheath, ensuring hair growth.

When hair growth comes to an end, the cells in the hair bulb stop proliferating. The hair follicles begin to shrink and hair stops growing; this is the catagen phase. During the resting phase, the various parts of the hair age, degenerate, shrink, and the hair will fall out. At the same time, a growing hair bulb is formed near the aging hair follicle, and a new hair is born.

The speed of hair growth is not only related to the growth period, but also affected by other factors such as race, genetics, endocrine system, disease, mental condition, gender, age, season, etc. If you want your hair to grow faster, you can eat more black sesame seeds, black soybeans, kelp, walnuts, etc. in your daily diet to supplement the nutrients needed for hair growth.

Long-term deficiency of vitamin A can lead to thinning hair; deficiency of vitamin B2 can cause increased sebum secretion and easy hair loss; deficiency of vitamin B6 can cause abnormal sebum secretion. Oral contraceptives can speed up metabolism and consume more vitamin B6. Diffuse hair loss in some women may be related to this. In addition, vitamin B6 can affect the pigment metabolism process. When it is deficient, the hair can turn gray and grow poorly. When pantothenic acid (also known as vitamin B3) is deficient, the hair can turn white and grow poorly. Inositol belongs to the B vitamins, which can prevent hair loss. Biotin (also known as vitamin H2) can cause hair loss when it is deficient. Para-aminobenzoic acid also belongs to the B vitamins, which can protect hair color and maintain normal hair growth.
