What should you pay attention to before hysteroscopy?

Before or after undergoing hysteroscopy, everyone needs to pay attention to some matters. After all, it is a surgery. If it is not handled well or if there is an infection, it will seriously affect your health. So what are the common problems before and after hysteroscopy?

1. Common questions before surgery

(1) The abdominal skin preparation is the same as that of general abdominal surgery, but attention must be paid to the cleaning of the navel because the navel must be punctured.

(2) Give semi-liquid food the day before gastrointestinal preparation, and avoid eating from 10 o'clock before surgery to the day before surgery. Give a cleansing enema the night before surgery and the morning of surgery.

(3) Intravaginal preparation involves the actual operation of the uterus, vaginal surgery and placement of the palace nightclub. Before surgery, regular checks of female secretions and vaginal cleaning should be carried out. Patients with vaginitis should be cured and then undergo surgical treatment.

(4) A routine blood test should be performed before blood preparation.

(5) Preoperative sedatives should be taken orally the night before surgery to ensure good sleep and facilitate surgery. Determine the medication before anesthesia based on the anesthesia method.

(6) The remaining hose must be placed in front of the hose and the bladder must be clear.

(7) Based on the patient's condition, fusion size, and difficulty, general anesthesia, epidural anesthesia, spinal anesthesia, and local anesthesia are used.

(8) Hysteroscopic surgery is best performed 3-7 days after menstruation.

(9) Married life is strictly prohibited within 3 days after menstruation or before surgical treatment.

(10) Before surgery, you can hold your urine appropriately to facilitate B-ultrasound detection during surgery.

(11) Preoperative examination: infectious disease test, liver function test, kidney function test, electrocardiogram, hematuria, coagulation function and routine leucorrhea examination.

(12) Please come to the hospital one week after surgery to obtain the pathology results and receive medical treatment.

(14) There will be a small amount of vaginal bleeding within 2 months after hysteroscopic transurethral resection, and normal menstruation will only occur in the third month.

2. Common problems after surgery

Within 6 hours after surgery, lie flat without a pillow with your head to one side to prevent excrement from being inhaled into the bronchi. Since most patients feel no pain after the operation, do not neglect massaging the patient's waist and feet, and turn the patient over every 30 minutes to promote blood circulation and prevent bedsores. The catheter can be removed on the same day the fluid is infused, and the patient can be encouraged to get out of bed and move around. Six hours after the operation, the patient can take a small amount of liquid food, such as thin millet soup, noodle soup, etc. There is no need to give patients sweetened milk, soy milk powder and other sugary drinks.

The laparoscopic incision is only 1 cm, so the abdominal medical dressing can be removed after one week, and you can take a shower and then gradually resume activities. A week before the event, you should still pay attention to moderate and light exercise to allow the body to recover as soon as possible.
