Bleeding after a spontaneous abortion

Bleeding after a spontaneous abortion

There are two main types of abortion, one is artificial abortion and the other is natural abortion. For female friends with weaker bodies, they are more likely to suffer from natural abortion after pregnancy. No matter which method of abortion is used, it will cause great damage to the woman's body. If there are signs of spontaneous abortion, you must go to the hospital and have an abortion under the guidance of a doctor. But what is the reason for bleeding again after a natural miscarriage?

1. Causes of repeated bleeding after spontaneous abortion

Bleeding after a miscarriage usually lasts for 3-5 days, and no longer than 15 days. If bleeding occurs again after a spontaneous abortion, it is considered an incomplete abortion and B-ultrasound and other examinations are needed to clarify the situation in the uterus. If the abortion is incomplete, there may be bleeding that is greater than the menstrual volume, prolonged bleeding, abdominal pain, etc. You need to go to the hospital for examination in time. Anti-inflammatory and other treatments after spontaneous abortion require targeted medication based on the clinician's advice.

Symptoms of early spontaneous abortion include a small amount of vaginal bleeding or mild back pain, which are mostly threatened abortion. The fetus can be saved in most cases by taking tocolytic drugs and bed rest. Vaginal bleeding that lasts more than 7 days or the amount of bleeding is more than menstrual period is often difficult to maintain. If accompanied by lower abdominal pain or leakage of amniotic fluid, miscarriage is inevitable. If there is heavy bleeding, it must be an incomplete abortion. In both cases, a curettage should be performed.

While women are concerned about how many days of bleeding during miscarriage, they should also understand miscarriage itself. So, what is spontaneous abortion? It refers to the fetus leaving the mother's body before it can survive. Spontaneous miscarriage accounts for approximately 15 to 30 percent of all pregnancies. Miscarriage during the first three months of pregnancy is called early miscarriage. A miscarriage between the twelfth and twentieth weeks of pregnancy is called a mid-term miscarriage. A miscarriage after the twentieth week of pregnancy is called a premature birth. The fetus may survive, but very advanced care conditions are required.
