Pelvic inflammatory disease

Pelvic inflammatory disease

Pelvic inflammatory disease can be said to be a disease that female friends are more likely to suffer from nowadays. There will not be obvious symptoms when it first occurs. If it is not treated in time, it will cause a lot of problems, and even seriously threaten the health of female friends. It will cause more bacterial infections. Therefore, if you want to completely cure pelvic inflammatory disease, you should start with anti-infection drugs.

Pelvic inflammatory disease is a common infectious disease of the female upper reproductive tract. If it is not treated promptly or incompletely, it will seriously affect women's reproductive health.

Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) refers to a group of infectious diseases of the female upper reproductive tract, mainly including endometritis, salpingitis, tubo-ovarian abscess (TOA), and pelvic peritonitis. Inflammation can be limited to one part or affect several parts at the same time. The most common ones are salpingitis and salpingo-oophoritis.

Pelvic inflammatory disease mostly occurs in sexually active, menstruating women. It rarely occurs in women before menarche, after menopause, or who are unmarried. Even if it occurs, it often spreads inflammation to adjacent organs. If pelvic inflammatory disease is not treated promptly and thoroughly, it can lead to infertility, tubal pregnancy, chronic pelvic pain, and repeated inflammation, which will seriously affect women's reproductive health and increase the family and socioeconomic burden. According to its disease course and clinical manifestations, it can be divided into acute and chronic.

Chronic pelvic inflammatory disease is often caused by incomplete treatment of the acute phase. Because it lasts a long time and the condition is stubborn, bacteria from the vulva can retrogradely infect and reach the pelvic cavity through the uterus and fallopian tubes. But in real life, not all women will suffer from pelvic inflammatory disease, only a few will develop it.

This is because the female reproductive system has a natural defense function that can resist bacterial invasion under normal circumstances. Pelvic inflammatory disease will only occur when the body's resistance decreases or the female's natural defense function is destroyed due to other reasons. Patients with pelvic inflammatory disease are prone to fatigue. Scar adhesions and pelvic congestion caused by chronic inflammation can cause lower abdominal distension, pain, and lumbar pain, which often worsen after fatigue, sexual intercourse, and before and after menstruation.
