Why do I get pregnant even though I always wear a condom?

During sexual intercourse, if you do not plan to have children, you need to take contraceptive measures. Wearing condoms is a very common contraceptive method in daily life. Although there are many contraceptive methods in daily life, there is no completely safe contraceptive method. Wearing condoms can sometimes lead to accidental pregnancy. Many people don’t understand why they still get pregnant after wearing condoms.

The reason why you can get pregnant even with a condom

1. The quality control of condoms is not strict during production. Since the demand for condoms in society is very high, the production machines in general condom processing factories are running at a high speed every day, and thousands of condoms can be produced every second. It is impossible to check every condom during this inspection. Random sampling inspection has a certain degree of representativeness, but it cannot represent the quality of each individual. This makes it very likely that a substandard condom with tiny holes on its surface could slip through the test, and using such a condom could lead to contraceptive failure.

2. The surface of the condom is scratched, resulting in contraceptive failure. In fact, you need to be very careful when using condoms. Some people have very long nails, and they accidentally scratch the condom with their fingernails when taking it out, but they do not notice this situation and continue to use the condom, which will lead to contraceptive failure. When taking out the condom recently, do not touch it with your fingernails. It is best to use the fingertips to take the condom.

3. Contraceptive failure due to incorrect use of condoms. For example, during sexual intercourse, the condom may fall off due to incorrect wearing method, resulting in contraception failure. Or the condom may fall off when being pulled out, causing contraceptive failure.

What are the reasons for condom failure? How to avoid it?

1. Accidental rupture during sexual intercourse: for example, sexual intercourse is too vigorous; fingernails or rings accidentally scratch the ultra-thin condom, etc.; 2. The condom model is not suitable. Condoms that are too large or too small can easily fall off inside the vagina or rupture during sexual intercourse, allowing semen to flow into the vagina.

3. Not checking the condom carefully before use, resulting in using a condom with leaks.

4. The air in the small bag at the front of the condom is not squeezed out before putting it on, so the pressure in the bag increases after ejaculation, causing the condom to rupture and semen to flow out.

5. After ejaculation, before the penis softens, the condom and the penis are not pulled out of the vagina in time. After the penis softens, the semen overflows from between the penis and the condom into the vagina.

6. Some people are afraid that condoms will affect their sexiness, so they do not wear condoms at the beginning of sexual intercourse. They only put on condoms when they are about to ejaculate before pulling out the penis. This will not have any contraceptive effect. Because before ejaculation, a small amount of sperm has flowed into the vagina along with the urethral mucus. Sometimes, even if you don't want to ejaculate before the penis is pulled out of the vagina, a small amount of semen will be ejaculated unknowingly, resulting in contraceptive failure.

7. Improper use of lubricants: It has been observed that if mineral oil and vegetable oil such as vaseline, ordinary lotion, etc. are applied on the surface of the condom, the strength of the latex condom will be weakened within 5 minutes;

8. Improper storage: Condoms will lose their strength if exposed to strong light, high heat, humidity and ozone.
