Female inguinal hernia

Female inguinal hernia

Many women don’t know much about inguinal hernia. Although it is not very scary, it still has a certain impact on women’s health. The groin is mainly located between the female thigh and abdomen. There are many reasons why women suffer from inguinal hernia, such as pregnancy reactions, obesity, and lack of hygiene, which can cause a certain amount of pressure on the groin and cause inguinal hernia. So what to do?

What is female inguinal hernia?

In terms of clinical manifestations, the incidence of hernia in men is 10 times higher than that in women. Due to different characteristics and manifestations of the disease, there are various types, and they are all relatively common. However, any type of hernia has a certain incidence rate in women. Among them, there is a type of hernia that belongs to female hernia and is very harmful. It is called femoral hernia. Femoral hernia is a female hernia that occurs when female organs or tissues protrude through the femoral ring into the femoral canal and then protrude through the femoral canal into the oval fossa. Because women's pelvis is wider and flatter, their muscles and ligaments are relatively weak, and the diameter of the natural femoral ring surrounded by the ligaments on the inner side of the femoral vein is slightly larger than that of men, coupled with the obvious increase in abdominal pressure due to pregnancy, obesity and other factors, it is easy to get femoral hernia.

What are the causes of inguinal hernia?

1. Inguinal hernia in children is mostly due to congenital reasons. Due to insufficient development during the fetal period, the processus vaginalis will not close or close incompletely. Coughing, constipation, etc. will cause increased abdominal pressure in the body, causing the small intestine, colon and other organ tissues to escape and form a hernia.

2. Inguinal hernia in adults is mostly caused by bad living habits in the later stage. Excessive fatigue, strenuous exercise, pregnancy, long-term constipation, difficulty urinating, etc. may cause increased abdominal pressure or weak abdominal wall, which may cause the small intestine, intestinal tract and other organ tissues in the body to come out, thus causing hernia.

3. The main reason for inguinal hernia in the elderly is their own age, which leads to the degeneration of physical function, gradual relaxation of abdominal wall muscles and tendons, and sagging of internal organs. The tissues around the groin area atrophy and degenerate, and their elasticity and toughness decrease, causing the abdominal wall and pelvic tissues to relax, which makes it easy for the elderly to develop hernia.

We would like to remind everyone not to underestimate the occurrence of any disease. Any disease should be taken seriously. For example, when treating inguinal hernia, once related symptoms of the disease are found, you should actively check and treat the inguinal hernia. Only in this way can you completely get rid of the trouble of inguinal hernia. Do not delay the best treatment time for inguinal hernia. Finally, I wish the patient a speedy recovery.
